marketforce inquiry 19 days after shop? do they have a written policy of how long they can inquire?

Lost my notes for said shop on my phone which was dropped in a mop bucket. Do they have a written policy on how long to keep notes?

I just recently checked this; I think it's 30 days. There was a "shopper note" on that a few weeks back.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
This is their post recent posted comment in FAQs:

"Clients may have questions concerning some of the information you entered in your reports so we recommend that you maintain your hard copy of the Questionnaire with the filled-in shop data and your receipts for at least 30-60 days."
I'd write everything remembered about it in an email and send it to myself or write in a word document and save it.

That's a standard, blanket statement.

As someone else stated, it's 30-60 days they're recommending for document retention for its shoppers. If it's no longer available, just let them know that.

This won't help you now, but for the future.....
I email my notes files from my phone to myself. I have an old email account that I send them to and then archive them. They're text files, so they don't take up much space at all (and email accounts are free in case I ever fill up my memory, so I can open up a new email account). It's an extra 5 or so seconds on each shop to send that file over, but then I delete it from my phone where space is potentially at more of a premium.

Anyway, that's what I do. I'd be interested in hearing other shoppers' methods for keeping shop note records.

Regardless, data storage is cheap nowadays ($20 for 64 gb flash drives). I know I've been criticized on here for suggesting archiving so much information about your shops (in MF's case, CPI, report, pictures, receipts, email correspondence, etc.) and keeping it for life, but again, since data's so cheap, what hurt could it do if work is put upfront of archive your work away... Even if it'll never be looked at again?

1 folder per assignment. the folder named includes an assigned tracking number (for my personal use for my Excel-based tracker), the MSC, the client / project and anything else important to identify the shop.

Inside the folder contains anything related to that shop including, but not limited to, receipts, photos, shopper notes (typically text), project-specific trackers I make for very large projects), email correspondences, additional expenses related to the shop that are tax deductible, etc.

If I have a large route of shops, I place all related assignment folders into another folder. Inside this folder, I typically save the addresses that I tabulate into Excel. I usually do my homework ahead of time and use MapQuest route planner to figure out the order I need to perform things at. Similarly, I throw in any tax deductible expenses like meal receipts (out of pocket and no shop), rental car receipts / agreements, hotel (when needed and out of pocket), etc.
