Marci Bikshorn from Service Excellence Group

Hi Shoppers,

It is with deep sadness that I want to let you all know of the passing of an industry icon. Marci Bikshorn began Service Excellence Group about 20 years ago and was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of stomach cancer in May of 2015 and passed away on Monday morning. The services were held this week on Wednesday in St. Louis, MO. I, along with about 10 of her competitors in this industry made the trip to St. Louis to pay our respects to one of the nicest, most sincere people in our industry.

As you may be aware, this past late fall/early winter, her company was acquired by Intellishop (at Marci and her husband's request) so that Marci could focus on fighting her battle against this horrible cancer. It is very sad that she lost the battle. She leaves behind 3 children and a deeply devoted husband, not to mention many other family members, friends and those of us in the industry whom were honored to call her our friend.

I know many of you have worked either directly or indirectly with her over the years. She loved this industry and she appreciated the shoppers so much and all the work that they did for her clients.

Here is a copy of her obituary for those interested in seeing it:

May she rest in peace.

Marci was a class act and I'm glad to have had the chance to know her.

I am so sorry to hear this. My sympathies to all.

I am so sorry to hear this. I always really liked working for Service Excellence and was so sad when they were bought by Intellishop.
