Anyone had trouble with Jancyn?

I have recently had what I consider a serious problem with Jancyn. Financial concerns were not an issue but personal insults were.

I have never had a problem in all the years I've worked with Jancyn.

Since you haven't been specific about the problem, I'm guessing you don't want advice, help, or opinions.
I have had what I think is a serious problem that does not have much to do with accomplishing work and I want to make certain to address it properly with the relevant people. For this reason I have left the issue as it is stated. But sometimes problems crop up where they have not been before and given the unfolding of this personal issue I can only conclude that it is not unusual. I am attempting to resolve the issue and was interested if others had experienced any problems. The emails are getting increasingly combative and insulting and I want it to stop and at the same time preserve what I can of the working relationship although, frankly, I am sorely offended at this point.
Okay, I agree with AustinMom, I too have never had a problem with Jancyn in the eight years I have worked with them.
I've not had any issues with Jancyn, but have only been working with them for a bit over a year. Are you having an issue with a particular scheduler or with various folks at the MSC?
I've never had a problem with Jancyn either but I do remember when I was a "newbie" shopper.. I was writing the scheduler about doing a P&R and she was explaining that I could return the item in 10 minutes or beyond that....I struggled with that one, because I thought, won't they think it's strange to return something in 10 minutes?

She gave me some great ideas, the best one was that it was for my daughter and it did not fit and she hates it when I try to buy her clothes. tongue sticking out smiley Works for me every time! I don't do much of the P & R's anymore. Too much hassle. But it was a learning experience. smiling smiley
@AustinMom. You quashed my thread. You made a very positive absolute statement and then followed that with a statement that I do not seem to request any comments. I don't know why you do that but I ask that you not do it to me.

I have noticed that when someone asks a question on this forum there is a group of people who come forward and sign the praises of the company in question and even go so far as to target the poster for ridicule. I ask that you not do that to me. Posting paragraphs implying that I am not likely being reasonable is in that neighborhood.

@xenshopper - Thank you so much for asking. Yes I am having a specific and serious problem. Until it is resolved I feel it is premature to comment on this forum.

@AustinMom. No, I did not ask for advice. I asked a specific question. I asked if anyone experienced problems with Jancyn. I would sure like to know if anyone has. If we put our big girl pants on we realizes everything is not always roses.

So sorry to have quashed your thread. You asked if anyone had problems. So far you have gotten responses from other shoppers who have not had problems.

If you want to deal with this appropriately, and you don't choose to provide any information here, then I suggest putting on your big girl pants and going off and doing whatever you feel is appropriate.

This thread just looks like a fishing expedition for negative posts. Maybe you'll find some. Who knows?
I have only done about a half dozen shops for them in the last year but I have not experienced any problems.
OP----------->You sound disgruntle. Perhaps you should take your "personal insults" problem to JANCYN. Because they are not mystery shopping insults. You should move to the head of the class to get them resolve or QUIT shopping for the MSC. Advise is not what you want so we as a forum cannot offer you any.
None of the six responders has had any of the personal insult problem you allude to,. I don't think we can not be of service to you. Don't get mad or upset at the forum because you can't come to an conclusion to your problem.

Maybe in another life we will all sing Kumbaya and hold hands, but today we won't. You are bullying us because we can't agree with you. Thank you and may peace be with you.smiling smileysmiling smiley

So, I can "guess" by your post, that personal insults were hurled at you? I am only guessing... because that is all I have here in these few sentences above... Were you insulted by someone at that company? Can you talk about it?
I've only done one type of shop for them, I really like them too. Easy shop, straight forward reporting. I've done quite a lot with the one client. Never had any problems either.

Hope you solve your problem.
OP:
I recently had to contact them regarding a missing payment that was a few weeks late for a special project I did for them. It was not done through their regular site. A week later maybe less I received the payment for it. Other than that no problems with them.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I've never had a problem with Jancyn, ever. If anything, they're some of the nicest people with whom I've worked.
I wonder if this wasn't a scam e-mail with somebody pretending to be from Jancyn....? I have heard of things like that happening sometimes---scammers will sometimes throw out personal attacks to bully people into doing something for them, usually giving them money and/or personal information. If you've legitimately had trouble with someone you know is working for Jancyn or you do suspect a scam, then I'd use this link or e-mail a contact you actually do trust:

There are 3-4 schedulers with whom I've worked closely over the last two years, and you could knock me over with a feather if any one of them started insulting a shopper. Be very firm or strict, maybe, if the shopper really started fouling things up. They tend to be extremely understanding, though. I can't imagine whom it would be.

I try not to work for them if possible. Their shops are in the low ball range, they ask for scads of dialogue, want several revisions and threaten a dollar deduction if you don't. I've never dealt with an individual with them. They pay. So I chose not to work with them. If I do, I know what I am getting myself into.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

It's true that the shops often pay low end of what I'd take them for, and I live in a state with a middle-ish minimum wage. Jancyn's never asked me for 'scads of dialogue or revisions', though. They've never even asked for one revision, in fact. The closest thing that ever happened to that was a scheduler e-mailing me to verify a timing. I didn't have to re-write anything.

I realize I have not been doing any shops for Jancyn recently. I used to do a lot for them and I do not recall having any major problems. But I remember at one time, long time ago, I asked them to remove my name from their d/base. Somehow, the issue was resolved through a scheduler who I am not sure is still there. I had forgotten all about it. They have not had any shops I had been interested in lately or they were not in my area.

seripous problem of personal nature doesnt have anything to do with msing. Y post to public forum w/such a vagiue title & post. Then get mad when people try to get more info to try 2 help. Y R newbies so rude?
I lke them. They occasionally have a sandwich shop in my area that they have a hard time filling. I like the food there. There is usually a small bonus involved. Nice people, no payment issues.

no u did not ask specific question. that was very vague question. maybe the personal prob is your vagueness in communicating to scheduler or in your report to client.

My panties R made of roses. sounds like op has many thorns in her panties.
Why are people attacking the OP? Her reasons for not going into detail are valid. She's asking a simple question.

I'm standing up for Jancyn, although I haven't worked for them in years, however, this just happened yesterday. I started getting tons of emails for their audit job (which I won't do).
I emailed them asking to please stop sending these jobs, was getting annoyed The scheduler (forgot who), emailed me right back, apologizing, saying she will take care of it.
She was professional, and sincere, and my inbox seems lighter already.

the simple question been answered by many peeps. the word attack & bully is sooooooo overused in this forum. its kinda laughable if it wasnt so sad.
You forgot the word "troll." The words are overused because people attack and bully so often.
