Intellishop issue

Experienced shopper here- first time posting- looking for advice. I conducted a shop for intellishop this weekend and the guidelines stated that if the representative wasn't at the store, I had to take a picture of the empty table. There was no table to take a picture of. I emailed Shannon and told her what happened and even offered to come back this weekend. She said to submit the shop, explain what happened, and I would be paid.

I did what she suggested and received a 10/10. The next day, I receive an email from the editor letting me know it's been moved back into incomplete status because I didn't read the guidelines, as the guidelines say I have to take the picture. I explained that I read the guidelines, I can't take a picture of something that wasn't there, and specifically told the scheduler what happened who specifically told me to submit as is and I will be paid. I forwarded the editor Shannon's email response. I also emailed Shannon and told her that despite her telling me to submit without the picture and I would be paid, the editor will not accept the assignment. I've heard nothing from either the editor or Shannon. Thoughts on what I should do?

You have done what you can now they need to hash it out. You did follow Shannon's instructions and were smart to get it in writing. I have always thought the same as you, how do you take a picture of something that's not there. Now I just take pictures of the area where something is supposed to be.

I think it's the outsourcing of editors. I have run into more problems in the last year than in twenty previous years.

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.
I agree. I just did a bonus shop for them last minute and the editor returned the shop 4 times for "more details!" Then, I got a score of 6 which I have never gotten mystery shopping before. The editor was asking for additional details and wasn't satisfied either with what I reported actually happened at the shop!
If Intelli doesn't step up to the plate, sooner or later they will not have any shoppers. Is there anyone out there that has never had a problem with Intelli. I have shopped few times for Intelli, once I had such a hard time with the editor that I have never done the same shop again for them, not worth the hassle.
I have and will continue to shop for them when the fee and/or bonus meets my pay to work ratio. I have only had a few issues and they were resolved to my satisfaction.

I'll continue to work for Intelli-shop. I've had three bumps with them, but two were self-induced. The third worked out after a couple of polite emails. I might wait to take a shop until it has the right bonus, but when the price is right, I won't hesitate.

When I go to a store for any MSC and am supposed to take a photo of a table and the table isn't there, I take a photo of where it is supposed to be. Maybe even a few, a photo near the entrance, a photo in front of the cell phones, a photo in front of the TVs. I add a comment somewhere in the report. But in my mind, if it says, "submit a photo":then I submit a photo of something. I learned to do that at The School of Hard Knocks.

I still shop for Intelli, only bonused shops. Only one type I will not shop due to old issues with the editor.
I just had my 1st. shop rejected, and I swear it's not my fault. The instructions said NOT to make an appointment, just ask about a car of my choice (out of 3). They rejected report saying I was supposed to make an appointment, and because the car I picked was out of stock, I reported on the wrong car.....mad, damn right.
I told them if they don't resolve this, and pay me my great fee of $22.00, to please de-activate me. I spent a lot of time on this, report was a bear. This company gets my oops certificate.

Live consciously....
Pull up the instructions and snip the part that says NOT to make the appointment. I've done a couple of car shops through Intellishop and the instructions have been to not request an appointment, but to accept if offered... They also can have sticky notes that specific which of the three vehicles to choose.... Once you find the the proof in your instructions, send it back to the editor politely and say that those were your instructions.

It could very well be that the editor has edited 1000 shops with slightly different rules (to the point s/he has them memorized) and did not realize that yours had a subtle difference.

I had a few problems with senior living assignments. Editor kept asking for more and more narratives, beyond what was required on the report. After a few rounds of this, I asked editor exactly what info was needed, beyond that which had already been submitted, and this editor replied that I could be suspected of lying and not performing the shop, which was crazy, as it was recorded and geo-verified. This editor was way way out of line here, and I have declined any senior/assisted shops since then. I do not like being accused of lying on reports.
