Well dang, I will certainly start negotiating, if I think the shop is worth me. I had absolutely no idea that was possible. Thank you for letting me know.
If memory serves, she didn't "find" the credit card shop. They sought her out. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong; I can't find that thread.) There are shops that never make it on to boards. They happen after you've developed a positive relationship with a scheduler. In my case, it took many years before that started to happen.

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.

Agree 100%. I would say that 65% - 75%, maybe even a bit more are jobs, special projects and permanent routes that were offered to me personally by a scheduler, a project manager or MSC owner . They never see the daylight of a job board.
Add in shops that are offered to me before they are put on the job board and I would guess my number is pushing 90-95%.

I've done 3 shops for Sentry so far and I like them, the certification tests seem a little tedious to me and the editors are a little more picky then some other companies but I really like their report deadline being the next day instead of same day and I feel that they pay a very fair amount for the amount of work asked so I am overall really happy with them!

Please share how you found the $1000 credit card shop.

Sorry. I meant to answer last night. I was reading on my phone.

I got an (mass) email. It did not seem to be directed to just me, but they most likely did a demographic search by banks (or other qualifying info) that I had in my profile. I replied back, "Is that a typo?" He said that it wasn't. I agreed to do it before they found somebody else. I believe that start to finish it took 17 minutes if I am recalling correctly.
I do this shop. The fee is not high. The reimbursement is not high. But I enjoy finding bargains in this store. I would shop there occasionally anyway, so I use this as a filler shop. This store has carts. You are not carrying a bulky item, and there is no item of the month or a gift registry aspect (since this store carries leftover merchandise, the thought of a gift registry is rather amusing). My problem is finding associates. There are usually very few of them in the store. Going around three times and looking in every aisle and every nook and cranny may not result in seeing more than 1 or 2 associates on some days. I just report what I find. No fuss, no muss.
