Great input. It is not that I think we annoy them, they just do not want to set a precedent. As far as paying a scheduler, they are already paying them. Doesn't matter if they email you or talk on the phone.
My comment was based on my experience, with them and in my life. In many cultures, they one that makes the offer is the one obligated to closing it. That's why negotiators are taught that whoever opens their mouth first loses. In essence, when MF calls me they will not hang up without offering me (eventually) the current maximum bonus available. Likewise, if I initiate the bonus request they have no obligation to close the deal.

They tried the small bonus with me. When they called back two days later I ended up getting more than before. Another factor we all forget is our competition, which is growing. Better to pick up a few reasonable bonuses than over price ourselves out of everything.
With MF, I believe the worst thing one can do is email or call them and ask for a bonus. They will avoid you. I wait for them to call me, it puts me in control.
I've been thinking a lot about this since you posted it because the last thing I want to do is shoot myself in the foot with any mystery shopping company. I guess I'm a little confused as to why they would be annoyed when I email them. I don't email them as soon as the post the jobs. Typically I wait for them to call me but occasionally I've emailed them with an offer (nothing extreme--I always ask for more when they call) for a bonus similar to what I've received in the past at the same time in the month (or cycle) that I've received in the past. Sometimes they schedule it, other times I hear nothing. Doesn't it make more sense for them to respond to an email than to pay a scheduler to do everything with me over the phone? If they can't bonus, then they just delete it, like I delete their emails every day. I got a call from them today and they gave me the same bonus that they've given me in the past 6 or so months but normally I would have had them completed about a week ago by now.
