Jancyn Computer Repair Shop

Has anyone done this shop? I am having a problem reaching someone at the call center who knows about the mystery shopping requirements. The scheduler just tells me to keep calling.

Well, it is Sunday...maybe there is no one on duty on Sunday or they have a skeleton crew on Sundays?
The call center is open 24/7.

I have to tell them that I am a mystery shopper assigned to Target X so they can generate a prepaid invoice. No one knows what I am talking about. I started calling Friday when I was assigned the shop.

The pay sucks. I want to get my laptop fixed! My wifi did a disappearing act.

Yikes! So the pay sucks but they will actually pay to get your laptop fixed? Out of curiosity, what is your laptop doing?
My wifi disappeared. I can't find any trace of it on my laptop, so my wireless internet has nothing to connect to. Our other gadgets are all connected wirelessly. I have to use the ethernet wire to connect my laptop.

I just took one of these shops and will attempt to call for an appointment tomorrow. For any of you interested, the shop pays $12 and you get one hour of service from a computer person - supposedly worth $99.
I just called to make my appointment and after telling the call center rep that I was a mystery shopper and needed him to make an appointment for my target, he said he would transfer me to the person who does that. After being on hold for 10 minutes I had a recording thanking me very much for calling and then disconnected me. Maybe they should be shopping the call center? At any rate, figured I'd wait till after 1:00 PM and the lunch hour is over and maybe they won't be so busy.
4th time is the charm. I called and the call center rep who took my call knew what I was talking about and scheduled the appointment. Yea!
Are you sure you haven't accidentally turned off your wifi? I did it once without realizing. On my computer, when I hit the F2 button, I was back in business again. Have you already checked that?

If you have a laptop, there might be a switch on the side of the laptop which turns WiFi on and off.

@plmccut, after calling them per the guidelines all weekend, I was finally able to reach them midmorning. My appointment is scheduled for tomorrow. I'm going to have them look at my husband's laptop because I fixed mine.

The scheduler said that the client is going to address the call center issues. Make sure you reflect in your report the difficulty you had reaching someone.

myst and three, I went into my Device Manager and saw that the wifi had been disabled. I probably hit F12 just as you both said. Anyway, I enabled it and now I'm fine.

Of course, this was after I had hubby rearrange the room so I could be closer to the ethernet wire.

Honny - I ended up having to reschedule my appointment as I overbooked for tomorrow. Have a med appt. that is a high priority so I had to recall. I got the same scheduler (Darlene) and she rescheduled me for late today. I am hopeful he can speed up my computer. I bought it from Lenovo about a year ago and never had any work done on it. Lenovo had already loaded it with about 12 Lenovo apps. and I think some of them are running in the background slowing my 'puter down. I sure hope the guy is good!
plm, did your computer come with Windows 10? That is the cause of a lot of my problems.

My target came out and fixed my hubby's computer. He was happy, and I gave the target a glowing review.

ETA: good luck at your med appointment! I hope all goes well!

Well, Hell, Honny - My guy did not show up! And I even cleaned up my desk as well as my computer desktop just for him!!! I just sent an email to Holly at Jancyn to ask whether I should reschedule. Since I had to reschedule, I don't know if that was the problem. Maybe he still has me down for tomorrow.

As for my med appt. - I have an intermittent middle bowel bleed and so periodically I have to go for a dose of Feraheme (which is a med that replaces the old iron infusions I used to get). Since I started a bleed this past weekend, I must have the treatment Friday and can't afford to miss it.

I'm afraid the computer guy will show up tomorrow and I won't be here.
Oh, plm, you didn't have to explain that. You really didn't.

There was a blurb in the guidelines about canceling or rescheduling the appointments; I don't remember which. Make sure you don't get charged the fee for it. Luckily, we didn't have to give our credit card information.
