Getting accepted to Coyle asssignments?

I'm new to Coyle. Does anyone have any tips on getting their assignments?

I've been applying for hotel shops. Is this why I'm not getting anything-- am I starting with something too big too soon? Should I start with restaurant shops instead?

Apologies. You had three questions.

I would suggest that you begin with the less desirable assignments. See that assignment that is always posted and never applied for? That's the one you want to start with to get your foot in the door. That is, unless you happen to live in a remote area where Coyle has an assigment they have trouble filling.

Too big, too soon? Yes.

Restaurant shops? Yes, or reservation calls.

Good luck!

A lot more information about Coyle can be found here: [www.mysteryshopforum.com]

It has some great info and advice on getting Coyle jobs.
Coyle gets about 30 applications for each job posted. I emailed support there and they recommended applying for a lot of jobs plus they told me to start small to get your foot in the door. These would be jobs like phone or reservation shops. Then apply for a restaurant shop- one that is not as desirable and not applied for by as much by others (maybe its a bit out town or not a well known "it" place to eat.) Good luck!
I did one restaurant shop for them so far. I had applied for many hotel shops before that that sat on the board and did not get assigned. I emailed them and asked why, and it was explained, as in posts above and other threads on this board, that they want shoppers to perform multiple restaurant and/or phone observations first so that Coyle can gauge the quality of work. I have plenty of hotel shop experience for other MSCs but that doesn't matter with Coyle, understandably. They have no way of reviewing my prior work to know how good of a shopper I am. So it's like starting from scratch. But, I was given my first hotel assignment after only doing the one restaurant shop because it was nearing deadline and no other shoppers in my area had accepted it. The shop is for tonight and tomorrow night. I am super excited and have been reading and studying all the resource material and this forum so that I am fully prepared.
I get emails for their jobs , and being I am cutting down, not taking the restaurant (dinner_bar) as they are far away, no bonus for gas or time and $15.00 for a 201 question report. They asked me to do a steak house, and when I applied, it sat and sat, they gave it to someone else and didn't remove it from my assignment.
I'm very happy with the restaurant's I do now, no travel time, easy reports...yes Coyle has great hotels, but
unless your Steve, doesn't work for me. There sites are a nightmare, going through all the out of country places. I just did it and again the $$ for the work on a restaurant I don't like 60 miles away.....hell to the no!!

Live consciously....
