Market Force offering $0 fee, reimbursement only, for client another MSC pays a good flat fee on

sojo is on target here. The shops flew off the board in my location even with a $12 reimbursement, no fee, and no available guidelines. I took one out of curiosity. II do not work for the company who previously had the client and I have never done the shop, although I have read about the shops here on the forum. I don't know what the guidelines will be,l but I'm reasonably sure I can eat for $12. I'm pretty positive Market Force's report will be faster and easier than the previous MSC. Market Force says the guidelines will be available by October 27. My shop is in early November. I'll report back after my shop with my impressions.

The guidelines are now updated. I wish the current MSC was allowed to make the shop this easy. That being said, reimbursement only still sucks for anyone that would do this on a regular basis.

There is no phone call currently required. The guidelines do not include any indication that narratives are required. You can order any entree, in most cases you have to add fries and a drink. That's right, only fries for a side. The regular entree, plus a drink and fries will go over reimbursement after taxes. The form should take 10 minutes to complete.

Im still seeing the cost of a regular burger, fires and drink as $9.87 in my area of California. With tax, it would be under the reimbursement. On my CPI I have a zero fee but nothing shows the reimbursement amount. Do you or anyone rise see $12 on the CPI? I agree the form seems super easy.
I see, my bad on the math. Least expensive burger about $4.50, average cost $6. Fries 2.50, drinks 2-2.50.

Well, much for those that complained the $17 flat fee was not sufficient. I had no problem with it myself. I can walk to one location across the street from my job. A second one is a few miles from my house, a third a few miles from my chiropractor and a foirth local enough I am in that area every few months.

But didn't the complaints about the money not being enough have a lot to do with a report that forum members said was very narrative-heavy and took a long time? Of course, I never did the shop when the previous MSC had the client, so I know only what I've read here. So ..... a $17 narrative-heavy report or a $12 typical Market Force report? Hmmmmm..... it may be worth the $5 less.
I got an email from the help desk that there was a problem with the CPI but the shop is indeed for a $12 reimbursement.

The 17 included around 7 bucks for the shopper. With MF you get no payment for your time. I hope this isn't permanent.
The report was not bad. I keep a template for guidance and save copies of each new shop, just in case. It takes no longer than it takes to submit a (FF shop), about 30 minutes. The narratives just follow the Y/N questions. Less narrative than a (different FF shop) shop which requires a 4-5 paragraph detailed narrative. Most MSCs have similar narrative requirements if not more even for retail shops that pay about the same without the benefit of a reimbursed meal.

Mod note: Names of FF shops removed in case they are clients of MF, in which case naming them would be a violation of the Forum rules and probably a breach of your ICA.

I did the shop, too. There was no fee. The reimbursement was $12, and I had no problem staying under budget. I got a half pound (small and large were available, this was the large) burger with cheese (build my own), regular size fries, and a large fountain drink. The total was $11.87. The report took 5 minutes, very easy with no narrative. The food, however, was not impressive, and I would not eat there again unless they paid me a bunch of money. I certainly wouldn't spend any of my own money there. The fries were wimpy and the burger did not compare to other burgers at places I frequently mystery shop.

Well, I'm doing a shop with ACL and it is usually $18 reimbursement. I'm getting $5 fee and $10 bonus. Just wait it out, just did retail shop yesterday $50. We all know, when MSC get desperate, they will pay. I got $40 oil change and $30 fee last Sunday.
They are paying $12 with no fee for the airport and theme park locations, which is laughable.

Not only no fee, no parking reimbursement either. I guess they don't want these shops completed.

I do not do reimbursement only shops, and I certainly don't do ones which don't reimburse parking.

The airport should have a $15 fee, minimum.

Other shoppers have posted that this MSC reimburses for tolls and parking. It's just not mentioned in the shop listing but there is always a question about whether there were parking or toll expenses.

Would they reimburse $20 for parking though?
I know that people get away with $3 no receipt, all day long.
They are probably hoping to find someone already planning to fly. This client is at Theme Parks? If a location near one of us is sitting, and it is at an Airport, hopefully the parking reimbursement question can be asked and answered.

I think the new company will go up $19 without a receipt, at least for tolls. 20 and up they want an explanation, though a receipt isn't always needed. Kinda hard to get one for EZPass payments and stuff like that.

I guess that people forget things like a question of did you have any expenses for parking or toll? With EZ Pass you can always sign into the website and get the current months and redact the ones that you do not want to show.
I performed one of these on Tuesday. It is still sitting in QC.

I am confused now. This thread was about Market Force and the bottom quote above refers to the "new" company. Is it Market Force that will go up to $19 without a receipt or some other company? I often have to walk a long way to find free parking on my shops but would be happy to ask for reimbursement from the high priced meters in this large city if this works for MF. Some meters are up to $2 for 15 minutes and you are lucky to find an available one within a few blocks. . $4-8 is a big expense for shops that have no or very little fee.
I have had MF reimbursed for parking meters in my area. Most of the downtown streets or Main streets are parking metered, I put in .50 for a 15 minute shop. They reimbursed. I am a Happy Campersmiling smileysmiling smileysmiling smiley

MF from my prior experience with them.

I'll stick with the old MSC. With a coupon and only a side OR a drink needed, I make a minimum $10 on these on the base $17 fee. Thanks for the heads up.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
My shop was approved, took several days in QC.

Unless things change again, with the client, the shop is currently only available with MF. The initial offering appears to just be dine in.

I ordered a salad, added a burger on top. I am not going to accept any more of these at reimbursement only and see if things change.

When I did them with the old msc I was able to get a burger, fries, and drink for under 10. To bad they closed the one in my area not to long ago.sad smiley

I do some traveling and hopefully I will be able to get one. But if they are flying off the boards then I might be abe to.

I wonder why they are switching companies?

Companies change MSPs all the time. I did find it odd that some locations with the old company never seemed to get scheduled. I applied for airport locations, and they just sat there until I had to delete them after a few days.
Fees (small ones) added to airport locations.
I'm disgusted that anyone did any in airports for no fee.
This is a HUGE company that makes millions of dollars on shops. THEY HAVE MONEY TO PAY US.
Quit working for peanuts.
I did the shop last night. Super easy. I'm not a big hamburger fan but it was excellent. Much better than the competition.
I did one of these to try the food and because MF's reports are usually easy and it certainly was very easy. The food was just okay. I wouldn't go back on my dime.

MF has reimbursed me $35 for parking several times and they never even asked for a receipt. Since they reimburse parking I have no problem doing these reimbursement only shops. Downtown LA parking can get very expensive when there is a home Laker game.
