Shared Insight

Hi there,

Does anyone know how to get this company to write back or call back? I did a couple shops for them after emailing with the recruiter and they then inputted my reimbursement amount incorrectly. I have sent numerous emails and phone calls to the same recruiter who assisted and he is ignoring me completely. Need some help!

I've run into this problem. I have reached them by phone after many attempts. Emails weren't returned. Did you happen to get a KSS scheduler to handle your shop for you? They are much better to deal with!

Just checked in on the Shared Insight forum and found this posting. I am frustrated. I got a reachout from a "desperate" scheduler so despite my unhappiness with the website and assignment details that contradict themselves, I took it. I have several questions before I do tonight's shop, not the least of which is whether there are specifics for shooting the food pictures. (Some MSCs have lots of rules that must be followed to the letter.) I emailed the service desk last Thursday. As of Monday, no response. I emailed the scheduler over the weekend. No response. I left two voicemails today. No response. Besides having a clunky website, this MSC seems to have higher standards for its shoppers than it does for its employees. I am giving them one more chance and if this shop goes badly, it is two strikes and I am out. (I did get full points for the only other shop I did, but I was going nuts trying to resize photos to under 1MB and meet the midnight deadline.)

I e-mailed them in the past without much luck. One e-mail out from 10 may get to the right person. try to call them instead.

Thanks, Gene. I tried a call today (about seven hours ago.) All I could do was leave a message and have not had a reply. I did notice on the website that it deducts points for all questions that it directs to shoppers that go unanswered. :-) I am doing a pizza shop that appears to be a similar concept to one I do for another MSC. However, the timing questions for Shared Insight, while worded in a confusing manner, are fewer and less clumsy. I am going to give it a try tonight and hope I get a good pizza. If it is a bust, I will just put it under "experience." I did do one Italian ice shop for the MSC earlier this year.

Again, thanks for the confirmation that email isn't effective. Maybe there is just one person responding.

Update five days later: My questions were not answered but I did get full marks for my shop. It was a much simpler shop to do, and for more money, than another of the fast-fire pizza shops that are blazing across the country. I did not receive an acknowledgement that the shop had been approved or any feedback. As long as the check doesn't bounce ...

For few years I am with them, I spoke few times with one male associate, and exchanged with e-maili with female one.

So I picked up a new burger shop to do for them yesterday, and it had no time restrictions. I get home from dinner at the burger place only to receive an email telling me to put in the report by 7:30pm pacific time, or I lose the shop. I thought about reaching out but knew it would most likely go no where, so I wrote it up as quickly as I could. This was so strange though! No time restrictions but turn it in early?! sad smiley

I did my 1st shop with them this week. Anyone know long does it take for them to let you know if your report is good?

Great question! I keep checking the web site every morning until I see that my point total on the top of the home page has moved up. I have done only two shops for this MSC and have not received an acknowledgment. I think it takes about three days to see the point total change.

It might be a time-zone thing and the Insight computer is set for ET, not PT. IMO, you did the right thing. You did the shop and filed the report t in a reasonable period of time. If you have the report denied, how about posting that so we know the outcome.

I've never heard anything back from them after completing a report. They never ask questions or want more information and I never heard a grade or feedback. I just get paid. That works for me. I guess no news is good news.

Getting paid is the good news, always.

Completely understandable. The platform is different, too. I had to learn how to reduce the size of the images.

Well, I just check the website and it shows 10 points and the red Probation is no longer there so I guess I am good to go. Thanks to all for your response.

Sure thing. That's why we all read the forum. Most of us need info or want to help others become the best shoppers they can be. You have passed a hurdle. Now, relax!

The email said Pacific Time, as they are based in California. They just wanted their report crazy early for a dinner shop. And like others mentioned, I heard zero feedback from them but got it in before deadline so I wasn't concerned. I just hadn't expected to come home and do the shop asap for them.

I've been shopping for them for four years. Now-a-days they have one main guy who answers the phones. Call the number on the website and dial 0. If he's there, he answers. I don't bother emailing him since he is so responsive by phone. They are located in California, so account for the time zone.

Everything else is handled by KSS. Whether I get a response by email depends on the KSS scheduler. My current KSS scheduler is completely unresponsive.

Also, their website says you have to set your job date within 48 hours, but KSS frequently pulls undated projects much more quickly than 48 hours. Re inputting your report, you are supposed to get 24 hours, but KSS doesn't seem to abide by that rule. They will pull the shop before 24 hours and assign it to someone else.

They do not provide scores, but will update your points. 12 points if you submit a good report on time and did the shop on the original due date. You lose 2 points if you move the date. They will delete points depending on how much they have to edit your shop. The only way to know your shop is accepted is to check your point total.

I am happy I found this thread.... I did my first shop with them in 11/16 and according to their website I should be paid on 12/31/16 but here we are 1/20 and no check.... did you guys receive payment timely? I did email them a few days ago and no response... I was going to call if I don't receive payment by Monday 1/23.... any info from more seasoned workers would be great! Thanks in advance!
I just called them about guidelines that contradicted each other for my shop and someone answered! I tried pressing 0 and it went to voicemail. I called back and chose a different choice - I think it was account management or something - and someone answered. He transferred me to the correct person and they answered my call! I was SO excited to get a quick response rather than having to try to decipher what they wanted.

I am having issues with this company! Been working for them for years. I have not been paid for February AND my reimbursement was entered incorrectly. I spoke with a Ryan about 10 days ago who assured me my payment would be released in 5 business days. It was not and now I cannot get him to answer again. Any hints on how to get someone to respond?

I have done very few for them. I found their record of quick payments was bad. I wasn't paid at all for one in January. I don't shop for them anymore.

There is also an option with their web site. You can created ticket if you were paid incorrectly. I used that option and they return me money in next pay period. I am doing a lots of shops with them.

I had to chase after my last payment. In all fairness, all it took was one email. I have since did one more job for them and expect payment at the end of this month. I scheduled a job for the beginning of this month and was all set to do it. Well, checked my job log and it was no longer there! OM goodness. I would have been so mad had I performed it. I agree, I have replied and responded to emails with questions regarding potential jobs they have sent me and they do not respond.
I called them and never did get a response when I had an issue with 1/17 payment. Prior to that I had sent emails and never got a response. I suggest to call them. The guy who answered was very nice and did help me right away. I will say do not expect to get paid exactly as their pay schedule reads because that is not always the case. I have done 3 shops with them first was completed 11/16 and according to their pay schedule should have been mailed out end of the following month which should have been 12/16 but I wasn't paid until the middle of 2/17. Then I did a shop beginning of 1/17 and was paid by the end of 2/17 so no issues with that job. The third job I just did end of 5/17 so payment isn't due yet... I will say I was paid and paid the correct amount for both jobs I just think it's best to pay close attention so you can work on tracking it down if need be.

I have been working for them for years as well and over the years have sent them emails when I had a question on a weekend or evening...Never once have a gotten a response... But phone calls are almost always answered and as people said, they are very nice. I have only scheduled jobs and reported them on their site, never on the kern site.
