Palm to Forehead...

I saw an apartment shop that interested me and would have applied for it, but it's due date is today. As it is the day before Thanksgiving and traffic in my area is going to be beyond terrible this evening, I emailed the scheduler and offered to do the shop if the deadline could be extended until at least Saturday. (It's a targeted apartment shop, so there is no guarantee of being able to do the shop on a specific day...)

I just checked online and the deadline has been extended...... to tomorrow. Really?!

That depends on who you ask: Texas.

Many of us in Texas believe we are a totally different country. I am not kidding - we actually had a governor who talked about seceding from the union a few years ago. But, as Lone-Star-minded as we are, we do celebrate the same holidays as the other states. This sounds like a scheduler who's either overworked and not paying attention or one who started celebrating the holiday a little too early.
Perhaps the scheduler does not celebrate holidays, So tomorrow is Thursday and not Thanksgiving in her world. smiling smiley I hope you aren't still eager to preform the shop. Let it go, by Monday it will be bonus.

In the scheduling world, it's almost always the former. With some of them scheduling thousands of shops per year, it's amazing they don't drop the ball more often. You have to let it go. They're only human.
