Informa MS?

Today I received an email from Informa Research Services concerning a banking job that pays $600. They are asking for a lot of information up front, but nothing super confidential such as account numbers etc. Has anyone done this shop? Or, dealt with this company?

I looked at it, you need to have quite a portfolio of your own and able to give them that info. i believe this is more than a one time job and like their other jobs take a lot of time.

Live consciously....
The $600 is paid over time....$200 the first month, and the rest at $50/month payments. The LOWEST account I saw in the email was an IRA or other similar banking product at $20,000.00.
I found one from them in my junk mail. Something that also makes me suspicious is that the email came from Ms. Scheduler - MsSchedulerScheduling@gmail.com
A strange email for a MSC representing such a "high-profile" client.
Indeed. If I got that I would call Informa, but using a phone number not supplied in the email.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.

Hmmm, that's a very good point, wales! Never thought of that because I know Informa is a legit company. But, with so many scams out there, and a gmail address, that does give one something to consider!

How do you think one acquires $20k to spare? winking smiley

Mystery shopping is not that closely tied to disposable income, earnings or savings. It's a frugal state of mind that many shoppers have which makes it work for them.

Hi Judy, I emailed Informa a couple of weeks ago to confirm whether the email was legitimate. I never received a reply. Since we are used to seeing an email address with the MSC's domain name, you can see why we were looking for verification before supplying personal information. Does Informa reply to emails?
Hi Threemom,

Informa does reply to emails, but they are a large company and it depends on who you emailed. I have been scheduling for Informa for many years and the invitation to participate in this study only went out to registered shoppers with this company. If anyone who is registered with Informa is interested in participating, they should respond to me soon at MsScheduler@atlanticbb.net, as I am getting ready to start recruiting new people for this $600 opportunity.

Thanks,

Judy Inboden

Do we need to have a managed account for this shop? I have a 401k at Fidelity with Mutual Funds I choose.
Yes, this particular study is only for managed accounts with particular companies and balance categories.

I use Google Chrome for my browser. Without using the link created when you wrote the email address, I was able to highlight the text, right click, then choose "search Google for the taskhrzone@gmail." The first page of results was all about how emails from this address are a scam, including a couple of links to Informa's FB page.
