Reminder NOT to shop at JMRidgeway

I did a shop for this company 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately, the location was not open during their regular posted hours. I took a time-stamped photo of the office hours posted on the front door & submitted it. I was paid yesterday.

I almost did a shop for JM Ridgeway - ended out not doing it because the photo requirement seemed a little intrusive to me and I was not comfortable with it. I was just not sure I could pull it off without issues and I contacted a scheduler there who told me something along the lines of Great, now I have to find someone else to do it. I felt guilty and let things stay until the last minute when I committed the unpardonable sin of bailing.....at the last minute. I was deactivated from JM Ridgeway for this and I take responsibility for that deactivation as I should have flat out said the first time around - this just does not work for me and not bailed at the last minute. You know that saying, live and learn? Here I say, mystery shop and learn. I'm much more proactive with shop related issues these days and I would not bail at the last minute unless it was something EXTREMELY serious as this is work, just like any standard non independent contractor job. I'm actually grateful to JM Ridgeway for this experience and the lessons I took away from it.
I've done 60 shops for them and they are strict on rotation. I have always been paid and always have work with them. smiling smiley
I did my first shops for them about six weeks ago. I haven't gotten paid yet but my notes show that they pay in 45 days so I should be getting paid soon. I am not sure where I got the 45 days because I cannot find any pay times on their web site. Can anyone confirm what their pay schedule is? I wasn't concerned until I read an earlier post saying someone was paid three weeks after doing the shop.
My one and only contested shop came from JMRidgway. I provided the info and I ended up being paid. I wont be doing any shops for them again. To each their own. Its funny how people on this forum say "Oh Ive shopped MSC XXX for years and years ...etc". You probably have more luck predicting the outcome of a pair of dice thrown up in the air than the moods and shenanigans of some of the schedulers, the vast majority of whom are, I suspect, independent contractors just like the shoppers. As with any slice of humanity theres good and bad. Just because youve shopped for years compared to someone who just started doesnt make their experience any less relevant.
Just a follow-up to my previous post. I did three jobs for JMRidgeway on February 16, 2017 and got paid on March 24, 2017. I'm happy.
I know they have been long to pay in the past, but I just did a shop on 3/24 that qualified for their "Fast Pay" and payment was received on 3/30. No complaints from me. It had a nice bonus too!

I was shocked to read the original post! The company can be little obnoxious with constant scheduling emails, well more than a little, but we all love em!
All, I have completed shops for JM Ridgeway. I just got paid $30.00, and it says on my home page that I should have been paid $145.00. Does anyone know how to reach them? There is no contact number except to talk to the scheduler. What should I do? Any ideas??
Call to ask for Accounts Payable or billing.

When I was a newbie, it was a very bad thing to be. I kept really quiet about it, lest anyone find out about my dark little secret. Now days, newbies proudly introduce themselves.

A company that has been around as long as JMRIDGWAY is probably, most likely, nearly 100% positively, alright.

Try working for SERVICE SOLUTIONS, INC or SERVICE SCOUTS if you want some negative action. winking smiley
I don't have a contact number, but if the scheduler is Nikki just let her know. She is one of the best and will make sure you get an answer.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Does anyone have a number or contact information for JMRidgway supervisor? I am having huge issues with my scheduler. I would like a different one or to deactivate. Its not worth my time or frustration.

Phew! scared me. Just signed up and completed a couple shops for this company... Just signed up for this forum and this was the first thread I read. Made me nervous.

Hi, I've done plenty of shops for them and have never had a shop declined or not paid. They have been nice to work with in my experience. Don't worry.
