Market Force Make Offer

Canadamommy, Leslie was just asking what MSCs use a particular feature. This is not a violation of forum rules and is a simple, innocent question from a new shopper. Why are you following her around the forum and pouncing on her posts?

Also, even if the company does not have that feature on their dashboard/website, you can send a "help" request or call them or email them and offer to do the assignment for the rate you think is appropriate. There have been times that I have called the MF helpline 3 or 4 times in a row, emailed and used the make offer feature in order to get to the right person. Not just Market Force either. Although talking on the phone with some MSC's Reps makes my stomache hurt and my skin crawl.

Things must be slow in Canada. You seem to want to pick one person and follow them around with non-helpful comments. LeslieKay is not the first to be targeted by you. Remember to add a positive contribution to the community.
Earlier this week I used the link and asked for $15. I called Thursday, was told to send a email. I sent an email, said I was available Friday and would go as low as $12. Several hours later they accepted the $15 offer. smiling smiley

It isn't a regular feature. I prefer they call me but it serves its purpose when available.

Great job. I haven't come across this feature yet. I will be sure to give it a try!

I'm envious of those who get their offer accepted. So far I haven't. I keep trying, though.
I have not seen it yet either.. But I did however received a e-mail today about a pmo job offer on one of their jobs.

I wonder since I accepted this pmo offer, I wonder if I can e-mail them and make them a extra offer smiling smiley

They did call me about two weeks ago but I wasn't able to get to the phone in time.

I do like this feature. I got a burger shop for $30 within minutes. YAY!

Yay! But you realize you named the company's client? Can you edit your post?
Lucky, after 9 years you don't know better than to link the name of the client and the MSC in the same thread?
I do about 4-5 shops for Market Force every week and have never seen this feature. I guess I am taking the assignments too quickly...I will wait next week and see what happens. ???

By waiting, you might get lucky IF no one else wants the assignments. If the shops you are taking are well-located in an area of multiple shoppers, what will probably happen is that the shops will be self-assigned by other shoppers.

The Make Offer feature only appears when a shop has been on the Job Board for a while and is hard to fill. When it is near the end of its due date, Market Force uses the Make Offer. The company doesn't do it to give shoppers a chance at a higher fee, they do it because they are getting serious about needing to get the assignment done. It's another in a line of things they have tried to get the hard-to-fill, unscheduled shops scheduled at the lowest cost possible. In addition to having schedulers directly call shoppers, they have used emails that advise of "premium fee" offers, usually adding a dollar or two, using "Samantha," and the Make Offer that appears on the Job Board. It usually takes a lot more than a week for Make Offer to appear, although maybe it's different in other areas..
Another area of caution. Your offer can not be cancelled, it sits there in the background. They could accept it at the last second.

I have no idea why anyone said I had been msing for 9 years. Really? winking smiley

Really. Someone made the comment because they assumed, since you have been a member of the forum since 2007, that you had probably been MSing for that same period of time. However, it could be just that, although you joined the forum in 2007, you were not MSing. I think how long you have been a forum member is actuallly more relevant than how long you may or may not have been MSing.
I have used the option a couple times and my fee got accepted. I don't always wait for this option to come available. I write the help desk on a regular basis. I include the shop number and location address. Tell them what I am offering to do the shop for and what day I am available. This usually works later in the month, but don't forget this companies "End of the month" is more like the second to last week. Happy Shopping!

No one said that you had been msing for 9 years. I wrote in my post: "Lucky, after 9 years you don't know better than to link the name of the client and the MSC in the same thread?"

I was referring to the fact that you have been a forum member for 9 years. Or at least that's what it shows next to your post. In the blue box next to the box where we type our posts it states: "Do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies."
I get pmo offers all the time from them but I usually miss them because they are sent out at different times and I not glued to my email all the time like some people.

Yes I know that I have to be on stand buy if there need any more information.
I did very well with this feature at the end of November. I offered $150 for a cell phone shop, $100 each for two fast food shops, $75 for a different fast food shop, and $100 each for two gas stations. All were accepted, and I made $675 in one day. I had some success in December, but nothing like that record day.
Even though I get a pmo offer can I call or email them and say I will be in xxxx area on xxxx day and I can do xxx shop for xxx amount?

I know sometimes they sit for a few days.

Thanks
Whenever they call me to ask me to pick up a shop I always tell them I need more money than their offering and they always accept my price.
The "Make an offer button" is on the "View available shops", on the right hand side of an available shop you will see this:

1/6/2017 11:15 AM - 09:15 PM Shop Fee: $8.00
Meal purchase reimbursement up to $12.00
Details/Select
Decline
Directions
Make an Offer

I'm going to offer to do this for $200 lololol.

I used this once the day before a shop deadline. Got the email that my offer was accepted...a week past the deadline. When I called, they said I could do it Christmas Eve. Nope, not today!
I usually have Make an Offer success on wireless-type shops, of which there are many versions and companies. The three I have done were acknowledged with an assignment number seconds after I made the offer (about $20 over the standard fee.) Maybe if the "offer" is above the algorithm it makes the bidder wait for an answer? I like the feature much better than receiving those Sunday 9 a.m. calls wanting to know if I will do a shop later that day for $2 more than the basic rate (answer: no.)

What I don't find to be too useful is the daily email that lists upcoming shops but doesn't give the dates, just the address. You have to go to the site to find out that the date range is weekends only or on a week or at times which won't work. A little more information would help.

Shopping SoCal and Maui.
I have used this feature several times. I have received a response back within an hour, assigning me the shop with the new offer.
