Informa - how to tell if project is accepted?

I did my first shop for Informa the other day. It did not require a paper copy to be mailed, just an online form to submit.

How do I know if it was accepted? At the top of the summary, it says the title of the shop on the left. Next to that it says in parentheses (Completed). When I open it, it says "You have completed this visit." I have never received any comments or anything since it was submitted.

Hello. I have been wondering this same thing about Informa, I did 5 shops for them last month, I have received checks for 4 of them. I have gotten no other indication in any way about the shops being accepted or not. So I don't know what the deal is with the feedback from them, sort of odd.
Hello,

I'm getting ready to accept a shop with Informa. I'm filling out the W9. Do they take taxes from the project payment?
No, but they need the W-9 in order to comply with Federal IRS regulations. As ICs, we are responsible for Federal and State taxes.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Informa is one of my new favorite MSC's. They carry a number of banks and credit unions around here, and there is not a lot of dialog. After my first shop I received an e-mail to submit my W9; 2 payments sent by check so far -- it appears they cut off shops around the 23rd for the next month's payment. I've done around 12 shops now -- haven't head a shop kicked back yet. They bonus VERY well, and so far seem quite friendly.
do they really pay the assignments they gave to you? i just got an email about being a mystery shopper.
please enlighten me if this legit
Well, I guess there is no way to determine if they accepted it or not from looking at their website. But I got paid so it must have been okay.

The weird thing is the date of the shop was 1/6/17. The list on this forum says "Informa Research Services the 15th & the 25th (Check) Mailed on the 15th", but my check was sent on 2/9/17 which doesn't seem to align with the 15th or the 25th.

If the editors have a question or issue they will contact you. It has been a while since I did a shop for them, however, I do remember when submitting there being a notice to check your email for a period of time, for that specific project. If upyou have any questions you camps always contact your scheduler, they are helpful.

Yes, this is completely correct. If they accept your shop, you will not hear back from them. If there is an issue, they will email. I have never had any problems getting paid from Informa and have been with them for several years.
They're a great company to work with - good pay and I've never had any issues getting paid on time with them.
If you don't hear anything from the editor, then most likely everything is ok. I have done lots of shops for them and , so far, I have been paid for everything that was turned in (three years). Sometimes there is a delay in the payment and it's hard to get in touch with anyone since the A/P is in Florida.
Just an update... I have to say that Informa has quite possibly become my favorite MSP over the last 2 months. Back in January I helped them out by doing some very last minute somewhat rural shops that they *heavily* bonused me for, and I also gave them my "going rate" for various distances and cities. Since then they have proactively reached out to me and offered me shops at my bonus rates that I've told them. No haggling, no back and fourth... they've also been able to short my rotation on some shops where I felt comfortable doing it. The reports are not bad at all -- lots of yes/no and some small narrative. They pay by check about 3 weeks after the shop is complete. Shops go in... I give them what they want and hear nothing back... and I get paid. Their system lets you reschedule shops if needed with no issues. They appear to have some unpublished phone shops they offer up as leverage to help make the further shops even more attractive.

MAJOR MAJOR points to them for not having to play the haggle game and for visibly treating their shoppers well who help them out at the end of the month. I hope they pick up some more clients smiling smiley

I have to agree, they do not play the haggle game.. and I HIGHLY respect them for it smiling smiley
They are also a favorite of mine. I took a well paid bank shop that was about 30 minutes away because I had other bonused shops practically next door to that address. Turns out that the bank branch had been closed for months. The phone was never answered. When I reported this, the scheduler offered me twice the very nice original fee to return and shop the new location and then added another location nearby to sweeten the deal. I have found a way to do what looks like a very daunting survey form in a very short time (type up and attach an addendum to the paper form instead of handwriting any narratives needed on that.) so I benefit by getting lots of opportunities because, I think other shoppers are intimidated by the form. In addition, at least one or two of their bank clients want every branch for every scenario shopped by a lot of shoppers so that they get both genders for at least 3 ethnic categories of shoppers. Because I know this metro area well from years of selling real estate, I feel very comfortable going to many locations that others might decline, thinking that because they would not "fit" the area (or even because they assume that they would not be safe in the area.) Knowing the myth from the local reality can make an alert shopper a lot of bonus money!

Does anyone have some contact info for them? I have a shop unpaid from January and have not heard anything. I tried filling out a request form on their website, but there is a glitch on it.
