Payment Bounced from NSS (UPDATE--they are responding)

Gigi...wow so you're all good? Did they ask for your paypal address or did you proactively provide it? Other than the previous contact, i haven't heard anything else.

I understand the anger (and fear for future shops) from a bounced check, but there's no reason to ever personally attack someone. We can still be civil people in the midst of a problem.

I hope everyone gets a chance to let calmer heads prevail and try to understand all sides and work with each other to resolve the issue.

Gigi - I'm going to take a leap of faith here and keep my current shops with NSS based on what appears to be honest feedback.

I also appreciate B. Eason for showing a willingness to address posts and concerns in this thread, because the worst would be to not know what's going on. Having an answer and a point of contact at least gives people some immediate and productive outlet to resolve the problem.

Hope everyone can cool down and think of what's best for all sides and work to resolve things that would allow everyone a fair/good outcome.

I just got paid by check, it went through or I haven't heard anything negative. Funny thing, I forgot about
this payment, so was happy with them when I got it last week. I am very surprised and they need to take care of the bounced fees.

The one really bad situation i could imagine would be if someone's bounced check got a NSF fee that then overdrafted their checking account and tied up their remaining funds/locked their account down. That could be a real bummer.

Surprised, I should pay for their bounced check? It's not my failing business that I can't pay my contractors. My checks did not bounce it was the other way around. Seems like an inside job of employees attacking me or did they offer you a $5.00 bonus to write all of this?

B.Eason offered to pay your fees, so why are you still so angry? Your apparent anger with this company is not commensurate with the $25 in fees that it cost you so far, especially when the company has offered repeatedly to repay you for them. And, btw, I don't shop for this company, so no $5 bonus to buy a reasonable post from me...

On another topic, I'm sorry to hear of your health issues! I wish you a speedy recovery!

No worries at all...take a deep breath and give the offer of reimbursement one more try since it has been extended here in a public forum. Send whatever proof that B.Eason asked for and let us all know when you have satisfactorily reached a suitable settlement.

I'm sorry just bummed for being treated like a criminal for being upset. Others we're paid by PayPal yet I'm still waiting. The fact I had to call to beg for a return call to be ignored most of the day yes I was furious.
You have a very kind heart and you brought tears to me good people still exist in this world since others bullied me all day.
Sometimes our forum has a mob mentality and once the mob forms, the piling on begins. Actually, this phenomenon is not exclusive to our forum by any means, but is a psychological trait of the human condition...lol!

If I might add a piece of constructive observation, several of your posts in this thread certainly poured fuel on the mob's proverbial fire...lol!

I don't like having to chase payment either, especially over several attempts, but I also recognize when a MSC owner or executive offers an olive branch my way as B.Eason has done for you. It's never too late to step back from the edge of anger and accept the best outcome for this situation. Being a cancer survivor, you have certainly faced much more serious issues than this one. Accept the olive branch, provide the documentation requested, get your fees refunded, and move on to more pleasant endeavors...after all, life is way too short to sweat the small stuff!

I received notice from bank that my check was returned. I went on NSS site. They have no information about the checks. I have submitted my information to beason. However, it is Saturday morning here in Ohio. I have a shop scheduled for tomorrow.
Wow - lots of anger and mistrust.

I had started the post about the October 2016 pay being late. The conversation thread remained civil and the participants were polite. Now I see this thread and the not so nice tone/words and the suspicions of who it might be.

Although no one has looked this way, I wanted to put it out there that I am NOT mpalty!!! I have never called NSS (or any other company) and yelled/screamed/made threats/insulted/demeaned/or made anyone cry.

I am still waiting for December 2016 payment. I am hoping the funds arrive in the next few days.

I applaud NSS (B. Eason) for responding to the complaint (bounced check) and taking ownership of the problem.

I have worked for another company that bounced a check. The company made good on the check and reimbursed me for the bounced check fee. I still work for that company. They acknowledged the problem, they apologized, and they made things right. An added bonus was an explanation of why the check was returned.
Hey I never yelled and screamed at them as well. I said I was very disappointed in the runaround with being paid. I did them favors so expected the same respect with being paid. My October check was paid Around January 10. It's amazing how this group can change what really happened why I'm so upset. I never yelled or cussed at them yet others said I did. I was called by them almost weekly to pick up shops since I was reliable. I was blamed and given so many stories about my October payment so yes and November so yes when this bounced I had concerns about working for them. Make up what ever stories you like about me. I have a rule of thumb about who I do business with and I need to trust them.

Thanks for sharing with us. It appears to be a moot issue at this point. It doesn't matter what interaction you privately had with NSS and there's no reason to continue to explain that you are right and they are wrong. I'll agree to it. You are right. They are wrong. Over and done. Now that you no longer trust them, you probably no longer plan to work for them. Now that Britney has identified you, I doubt they will be calling you weekly to pick up shops.

Since gigishopper has reported an almost-immediate correction of her problem, resulting in payment and reimbursement for all fees she incurred, I am guessing you will be paid for the work you completed for them. If you send documentation of your fees, as Britney requested, I have no doubt that you will be reimbursed.

I'm very disappointed to hear you're accounting department delays Paypal by 3 weeks. All of the other Mystery Shopping companies encourage to use Paypal and they all pay faster with this method. I use Paypal all the time to pay my vendors and it takes a matter of 1 minute to do so. I understand I'm not you're only independent contractor.

I signed up with paypal over 3 months ago with you guys. Please don't take this as a personal attack on you as well. It's a real bummer when the shops were done on October 2 and 17th with no payment yet.

No one is attacking you by defending NSS. For your health and peace of mind, its probably best to do as Elsa would, "let it go, let it go..."
Also a violation by posting your email to them. You identified the shop location along with the MS company...just an FYI.

Not to stir the pot, but I believe it was your phone call to them the day the bounced check issue happened where you were accused of calling someone a b**** and causing them to cry. Not an email as you posted.

Excuse me but I wasn't bashing you. I was simply correcting a misconception you made when you pasted the contents of an email and used it as basis for refuting that you didn't call someone something on a phone call. I have no idea what happened and don't really care.
