Maritz CX app flow *gas station*

I finally did my first (green) gas station with the app. I really can't think of a worse way to organize these shops. Maritz, if you are reading this, please let us give you some constructive suggestions. Could you please let us do one receipt right after another? The way it currently is, I had to do one receipt, go back into the bathroom do something else, and then finally another trip back to the car to get a pic of the second receipt. Also, how about bunching all of the bathroom shots and questions together? And let us take the vest pic at the same time?

The app is great and I appreciate being done when I leave there. But it takes much longer than it needs to.

Don't you know that Maritz is technology-challenged? Do you really think one of their team members has the ability to log on to the Internet and read this forum? It would be better (but no guarantee) if you sent an email to the team mailbox or somehow get in touch with their IT department out of STL. Not an easy task though.

Great idea. Seriously. I'd like to get some more feedback for shop flow and I'll attempt to submit them.
I've used there app a lot during the past three weeks. It would be fine if they would do one big thing and that is have a drop down menu with the list of questions where you can jump around from one question to to the other and they are checked off as they are completed. Both Trendsource and Mobi have that feature and it makes shops go so much more quickly.

I have 12 shops today and all 12 will be completed on a mobile app before I leave the premises. At the end of the day I will clear around $200 and not have a single report to do when I get home. For me, this is kind of day is when I really enjoy mystery shopping.
I wish it was like the Mobi app, too. I just take the pictures and attach them to the questions. Marathon is the only one I do for them. I appreciate the app, but it runs you all over the place.
Yes it does run you all over the place. Another tweak it needs is for the overall photo to be the very last thing you do before you submit. That way if you have to drive across the street in your car to take it you can finish up and get out of there.
They need to fashion it like the Mobi App, so you can go back and forth with submitting the photos, or another good app for them to review is the GoSpotCheck app. I have used theirs for over 50 jobs now, and, it opens different parts of the survey depending on answers to certain questions. A no answer will open for a photo to be taken or, depending, a no will even end the survey. You can go back into it to do any long answers needed after you leave the premise. But this needing to go step by step, photo by required photo, does not always work. They need to get out of the office and try using the app under real-life shopping situations.

Shopping Southern Georgia, Valdosta, Waycross, Quitman, Thomasville and North Central Florida I-10 & I-75.
Do you have to use the app? If not I wouldn't bother. And if you have to use the app I still wouldn't bother.
I just accepted a whole bunch of green gas station routes for this month. I haven't tried the app yet, from what I have read in the forum it doesn't sound to promising. So for those of you who have done these green gas stations using the app, would you say it is easier using the app or should I just stick to the paper method. I might do just one shop on an off day and just see how it goes. Has anyone had any of the shops returned for anything? I am just curious if they are complaining about any of the pictures or if there has been any glitches so far.
We dont have green gas stations where I live but I have used it a lot for the yellow and the blue stations. Other than not being able to jump around, the app works fine. I have a Samsung Galaxy 4 and there were no complaints about picture quality. I had two put on hold for other reasons which percentage wise is lower than what seems to be happening with editors of late with those submitted using a computer.

I waited to use the app until I could do so with no pressure. I planned the visit when I could blow a couple of hours if need be. I would say at this point it takes me about 45 minutes to complete the audit including submission. If they would upgrade it with a jump button, it would probably be closer to 25.

For me it is worth it to spend extra time at the station and not have to do reports at night.

I"ve been doing my green gas stations with the app. I do think it is very easy, it's just that the shop flow could be organized much better. I messed up one picture because the sun was glaring on my screen but other than that I have had no issues. It is easier than the regular method, and it's also impossible to forget anything, and for me that is a positive. It takes a few minutes longer at the site but you don't have to come home and do reports so it's worth it. I would say to remember to get your shops ready to report on the app before you leave home, make sure they are green. Then once you get out there you should have no problems.

I'm confused. The Maritz information page says that the yellow stations can't be done with the app? Could I get some clarification? I'd love to use it for them.
You can now use them for yellow. Probably not supposed to use them for blue yet, but I did so not knowing that and they went thru just fine.
It is worth it to me not to have the reports when I get home. I have done the Yellow stations with the app.
Thanks whiterosie and mawmaw20. I have two yellows lined up and will try out the app on them.
I had problems with the app freezing up and a few times, pictures were not submitted. Since I love having the report completed onsite, I just login into the Martiz website from my ipad and complete the report just like I would do at home.

I just tried to do my banks via the app at home with my wifi. Some of the pics didn't upload. I'm not sure whether it was my wifi or the app but I suspect the app LOL.
I actually spoke with a member of the app team today as well as someone regarding their new editors.

Regarding the latter, shoppers are not the only ones frustrated. It seems they are getting a lot of complaints about the editors as well as shoppers saying they will no longer work for the company. Whether that results in change is yet to be seen.

The app team member was from a different generation than what we are used to dealing with at Maritz. Very different experience. I'm convinced we will see significant improvements with the app.

That is great to hear.
