BDS Marketing? It's been resolved

I haven't seen any threads about the MSC. I completed a shop for them on 12/17/16 and have not been paid yet. They post on isecretshop's platform. I emailed the scheduler and haven't yet heard back yet. This is from their site:

"When do I receive my paycheck?
Payroll is distributed every other Tuesday and your paycheck will depend on when you entered reporting. Weeks run Saturday-Sunday."

I am scheduled to do a shop for them tomorrow, but I don't want to until I hear back from them. Anyone have experiences with this MSC?

I've had great experiences with them. They pay like clockwork. If this is your first shop for them, check to see if you sent your signed IC Agreement and W-9 form to them. If you have not, you won't get paid until they receive both of these things.

BDS Marketing also has Merchandising work. Until very recently, they had team'ed up with Apollo Retail. A friend working at Apollo said they've now gone their separate ways. For their Merchandising assignments, as for Apollo's, always negotiate your rate. When speaking with their recruiters, ask to speak to a Managing Agent to negotiate your rate!
Read the non compete agreement before you sign it. Seems to prevent you from working with almost any retailer they work with or any of BDS competitors while you work for them AND for a year after you or they end your employment. I thought it was pretty extreme.
Interesting. I was a Merchandiser for them and I didn't sign a non-compete. I would think that would be a good idea for management.
I'd never heard of them until one of their shops popped up on ISS... it was just average pay, but was to go in and test the employee's knowledge about electronics -- I always find those types of shops fun because I know a lot about technology and it boggles my mind about the sheer amount of misinformation I've received at the big blue box store when I have shops there -- no wonder people buy a lot of things online. Every time I do a project like this there for an MSC I hope that it can lead to better product training.

Anyway, I noticed that it required a W9 to get paid -- they listed a snail mail address so I just printed out the W9, noted my shopper e-mail at the top and dropped it off when I submitted my report. Check came 3 weeks later no sweat.

It was a fun enough project I hope to see them pop up more often. It's the one and only time I've seen them show up on ISS anywhere -- it looked like they were only shopping one location in the entire state.
