Market Force: finding KEY requirements before applying? (related to New Website)

I am finally realizing that along with all the nuances to navigating the new website, the Job Descriptions are less informative; which reflects on the OnEyes App as well. Several clients have different scenarios, which used to be clearly disclosed between the Assignments page or the Application page. Many no longer reveal things like dine-in versus take out or online for example, or clearly identify a special purchase requirement, until you apply then have access to the CPI. This is going to lead to more cancelled shops or otherwise more frustrated shoppers. Even hiding the Submit Receipt link on the View Assignment page appears to be as poorly thought out.

Am I missing something? I don't see any difference in the website. I did assign myself a hardware shop recently. The department to be shopped, which is also the department of the required purchase, was not revealed until after assigning. I canceled with an explanation. It seemed silly to withhold that basic information.

Yep, I've run into the same problem. I submitted an offer for an upscale shoe, handbag store that I'd assumed from previous visits was just an observational shop. The offer was accepted and only then did I find out it was a P&R. With the average price of shoes or purses $500+ I decided two trips and putting out that money was not worth it and cancelled with an explanation. It was always revealed in the description before if a purchase was required. So, now I'll have to email the Help Desk and ask before I take another one. The shops were easy peasy, and the fee was high, but no P&R for me and I also did not like the idea that it was not revealed ahead of time.

The new website gives less detail than before. I emailed them about finding out a few more details about a shop and it took them almost a week to get back to me. And they didn't even answer my question.

I can't believe MF has this client of the stars, with their hawdy tawdy Italian leather goods, but they do and it's easy if you can act the part.

I may be out of town next week and I wanted to try and pick up a shop. I did a search and there was one shop that was open for the date I would be in town,

However, when I type in the address in goggle, it gave me about 4 or 5 different shops at the address. I am thinking it is kinda like a strip mall or something.

It was for a lunch shop. It did not say like 4321 east blvd suite 5. It just said 4321 east blvd.

This is not the address but just a example.

How can I know what the shop is before I accept it. Be nice if I can view the pre questions before the shop.

They never show you questions prior to accepting. You have to accept first if you can't figure it out from the brief description. Doesn't make sense but that is the way it works.

It just said a lunch shop between 11 and 2. It did not say if it was a burger shop or mexican shop r whatever shop. It seem like b4 they changed to the new website I could see the pre screening questions before but I could be wrong.

There also does not seem to be a distance from home sort anymore which was very helpful in a big city with a long list of shops. The calendar view does not even tell you the pay or reimbursement which helps to figure out which shop it may be or any other info I would need to accept a shop so it does not seem helpful.

I saw a new shop this morning, It's for a diamond company that's popular with engagement rings but the pay is too low

I saw them two weeks ago and thought the same too. There were even two stores in the same area and I wasn't even tempted. The first set I think started out at $10 each shop and then got reduced on the next go around to $8 per shop. Are they kidding ?

The pre screening questions still show up before you can select the date and the shop. Sometimes they do not if you recently filled them out for the same client and shop type for them. 11 - 2 sounds like Chinese food to me. You can't figure it out based on the fee and reimbursement amount?

You can type the address in Google and see what shows up. That may tell you the name of the restaurant so at least you'll know what it is.

This is what I usually do, also for some Sassie companies where the actual restaurant is hidden until you apply. (That makes no sense to me.)

I just figured out how to get more information on the search. When you do your search criteria, uncheck Show Map. It will expand the fields adding more info, like reimbursement amount, fee and time.

Or just click Hide Map on the top right of the map.

The hide map feature is useful. Still like the old site better.
On this new site I find myself limiting the number of shops to view to 4 per page, whereas the old site I usually changed it to 100, as it was easier to scroll on.
And so far the jewelry shops they recently added around here have all gone to "Make an Offer" mode. If I get really bored I might make an offer.

Already doing that. I will use the main burger shop as an example. It is no longer clear if it is dine in, website or call in. It is also not clear about adding a shake. Several other clients also have dine in or call ahead scenarios, which used to be disclosed before applying.

When I checked a couple today, the description before you assign does mention if a shake is required. Not sure if they just added that or not. But the other stuff (walk in, web, phone) still seems to still not be there.
I so wish they'd add that. I don't mind web ordering if I can plan it, but if I'm out and about a) I don't always want to find time to web order and b) don't have the client's app on my phone or tablet

Are their burgers any good? I I may be someplace next week that has one and I may want to try them. It won't be a shop, just on my own dime.

And what are the prices like? I went to the web site but it didn't list the prices. Sadly most sites don't

There's a couple thread on here people talk about the burgers...likes/dislikes. I enjoy them though I am kinda tired of them, and think they are not really worth what you pay. I'll say this, if I weren't shopping them, I would no longer be eating them.

You can get a good idea of the price by going to their website and clicking order online...find the location you'll be near. You don't have to actually order, or even register on the website. If by chance, that location doesn't have online ordering, find the nearest one that does. Prices may not match, but they should be fairly close.

Burgers are ok/good. Their beef is never frozen and their buns are their own recipe/supposedly healthier. You can find the prices at a particular location by pretending you want to do an online order for pickup. It'll tally the total for you. A regular burger with small fries and a soda runs in the $12 or so range.

I use the App to compare prices across different locations. Their website has the same portal if you do not want to load the App.

I know this has been mentioned before but today there was a job in my smallish neighborhood. My neighborhood although small is bigger than most small cities. The only thing they say is the name of the section of town, that it is retail and the pay is $5. I cannot imagine what sort of job it is. Does MF have jobs that pay only $5 with no reimbursement? I have no idea where it is within the several miles boundary of the area. There and hundreds and hundreds of retail stores. There was only an accept or decline button. I am wondering on the new site if you always get the questionnaire. I don't want to accept the shop just to then cancel it. I am thinking perhaps there is some reimbursement they are not mentioning. And I am curious what they might want someone to do for only $5. Just driving somewhere even if close might take 20-30 minutes around here.

If you click the accept button, it should take you to the qualifying questions, one of which will identify the establishment.
I saw this assignment last night and laughed. there are some I'd do for reimbursement only, but not that low there.
I'm thinking MF is trying to sell this client on hiring them to do their mystery shopping. If they do, and they actually pay, I wouldn't mind doing the establishment. It's in a strip center I do several other shops, right next to two other MF shops I have shopped.

Oh my, I took a chance that it would not make me accept the shop before knowing what it is. That store is walking distance from my house and they are tearing everything down as soon as they can firm plans so it will be gone...I did a shop (cannot remember the msc but not mf) there a few years ago for 3x that fee! $5 is crazy even at walking distance. And sounds like you need photos. I would not even take the time to label and load photos for $5. Of course I have spent this much time on this thread i could have done the job!!!

I took three this weekend for $16 shop pay each. They are very easy shops.

I'm glad you got to enjoy the shop. Nice bonus!

I'm still waiting for the hardware store to have a make an offer.
