Reality Based Group

Does anyone have experience with this MSC? I just did a large audit for them and it was a flat fee per item scanned and photographed...my total was over 500 but on the report the most you can claim is 300. I am just wondering if now I won't get paid for almost half of my work. Has anyone had payment issues with this MSC? I don't want to do another one until I see that they actual pay what they promise. No one mentioned on any instructions that there was a 300 item limit for payment. Seems unfair because they ask you to scan everything in this category but then after you are done they say they only pay you for part of your work. I am a bit confused and will be pretty upset if they don't pay me my full amount. Anyone had experience with this company? I searched the forum but did not find any old threads. Thanks.

So, if there is a 300 item limit and this could take up to 2 days to complete, you are potentially working for $60/day? Damn, no thanks. Sorry. I'd be super pissed.

ETA: Never any payment issues either. I just don't like how vague the job description was for that audit. So glad I wasn't bored enough to try it. Besides, there is NO way you'd get that done in my area undetected if you were in that aisle for that long. That department is under a million cameras. I hope it is a revealed audit.

I haven't done that shop, but I do their thrift stores and once did their dinner shop. I had no issues with the reports nor the payments.

I completed 2 shops and agree there was no mention of any limit. Mine were not as intense 177 & 192.
They pay as scheduled but I don't bother with those kind of audits. It's too similar to my regular job. I'm a night merchandiser for a warehouse club. The kind of audits that required only counting and writing down one SKU # for each of the 5 categories, I don't mind doing but another MSC does those.
Took me 3 hours. I'm not sure why they said 2 days. The job description was very detailed EXCEPT there was no mention of any limit! I am going to be super pissed if I don't get paid for all my work. It was dirty and was alot of work. I was working quite fast. Only 1 employee came to the aisle and I just said I was doing an audit and he said OK. Security never came, but I didn't like not having a letter of authorization from the retailer. That felt weird.

This forum's guidelines state "Do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies". Additionally, It is probably an ICA violation for you to name both the MSC and client." - Admin

There are about 872 ICA violations in the last 4 posts........

These are not mystery shops. These are merchandising work.

I did not read the modified posts, but as they are not revealed, they are mystery shops. Unless there is mystery merchandising?

I know which store was "shopped" based on the description of "dirty." I never go there. Not my people.
And who are your people? Not everyday people trying to care for their families in a society in which ....nevermind. If you're doing this work, they are your people and you are in the same class!
Reality Based Group still has an ICA, regardless of if you think this is merchandising work or not.

Oops, sorry people, I didn't realize I revealed the retailer. I was trying to be careful not to.

That's funny that you say that because I didn't think that I did that but then I saw that reprimand. What did I say wrong then? You can PM me if you have the time.

The Client was not revealed, but anyway.
If I remember correctly spicy stated at company A had a bunch of shoppers kicked out of Big Box Retailer W for doing "these audits.". It would appear then that she named a client of both RBG as she stated they were the same audits and the other company she mentioned. You quoted her post which is why yours was removed and then she said the same retailers name in the last post that was deleted.

If Admin & many other members say you broke a forum rule or ica, good chances you did. no reason to dwell on it.
It was me, that they are saying blundered, not LeslieKay111.

However, I did not name the Client! Although, I did name the "location" of the assignment. RGB is one of the very few Companies that, on their IC Agreement, states not to name the location as well.

Regions Bank is shopped by two different companies. One MSC works for them, the other does competitor shops. The ACTUAL client for those is PNC. That doesn't mean we can name the company doing the competitor shop even though Regions is not the client. Both the forum rules and the ICA covers this.

Heck to be honest even saying the client name of who is shopping them might be a violation in this instance.

These now pay $20-$30 and a small bonus.
Heck no.
And I don't do "this type of work" anyway. Lol

Did you ever get paid for all of your work OP lesliekay111?

They paid me $103. Which was pretty fair considering I scanned every item like she said when actually I only needed to scan 1 of each item. I confirmed that it was every package and she said yes. Then after it was no. smh. live and learn. They paid quickly and I am happy.

Typically, the only want one of each sku or upc. This sets the base list for the following audits. The good news, you know where the items are so each week's price update will be easy if you continue doing the program. I am making $50 a week on a one aisle 100 line price verification project. I love RBG, their audits gross me around $800 a month.
I worked for them quite a bit in the past, but never audits which I never do. I do their high end retail. I like the company, no problems for me with them.
Edited: I just accepted a job from them. I have to try on $2500 worth of clothes and look at expensive handbags.
My kind of company, and here I don't see any audits spoken above. Since I don't do audits of any kind, guess
I was skipped over on that one...smiling smiley
