Oh, it's too far. I did one, even though I've never had a higher-end Department Store semi-makeover (in public) and it was a blast. It really helped that the Associate was a sweetheart, not seeming to notice any of my numerous flaws, extraordinarily professional and FULL of knowledge that was useful to me! It was so nice to be on the other side of the booth and not doing the set-up and break-down! I see what you like about these!

Did this one last week. It was fun, I got all kinds of great advise and samples. I was sure I woukd be outed as I went when it was pouring rain..Told them I had to pick up an in store pickup for a buisness function the next day, so has the time for a mini makeover.
I've never had a shop or payment issue with this company. It's one of my favorites to shop for because there are never any issues.
I'm doing one next week....actually driving into the city for it.....love their shops.

You'd be outed as the shopper, Auditor or Mystery shopper, what's the difference?

Price checking is common between competitors. While not illegal and some businesses don't care enough to bother with you, I think they have the right to throw you out of the store. Two considerations, is it a store you visit on your own so being identified would prevent you from going there and is payment for the audit dependent on completing all the items or will the MSC pay you for completed work. If there is the possibility of completing 99 out of 100 items only to be asked to leave and left SOL on pay, I don't bother.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

I didn't get outed, but a client/owner wasn't happy with my report. So I can't shop there any more. (at all, even as myself, lol) It makes me wonder why he wanted his business mystery shopped to begin with, if he didn't want to hear about what his employees were doing. I hadn't been shopping long, and it made me realize that sometimes (ALL the time) you need compelling evidence for yourself. So now I audio tape them. Wear the recorder in my bra. Works great and if someone says "that didn't happen," "oh, yes it did."

Crappy diecastdeb. Me too, I audio tape, and save the file, for every shop after the Hedge Hog one! They lieeee like the wind whistles through the Grand Canyon!
I enjoy working for the MSC too! I did a shop today at an area convenience store....first time doing it, so I was a bit nervous. But I reported it about an hour ago, and ALREADY got my evaluation: 10!! I appreciate that someone actually read my report already!!! Way to go, RBG!!! (Oh yeah, very fair price too, for the work!)

ETA: Just thought of something else I appreciate about RBG as well....before I took this shop, I found the description in Sassie somewhat lacking in what I needed to make a decision. So I emailed the contact person in the description, and in less than an hour she emailed me back with a complete set of the Guidelines so I could make up my mind!! And I did!!!! I thought that was cool, and I appreciated it!
