Did anyone actually get paid on time from Sentry this month?

These payments are from shops at the beginning of January. Still haven't paid for them. I was told payments are suppose to go out by the end of the following month from the statement date. It's past the end of the month and they haven't even been processed or paid. This is extremely long and not within their own payment guidelines. It's been over 84 days.

I haven't been paid for a January shop yet either. Sentry takes minimum 9-10 weeks to pay - far longer than any other company I work for. This does seem exceptionally long but they do eventually do it, however. smiling smiley
I signed up for bill.com and got an email saying that Sentry declined my request. I haven't worked for them yet. But I can't if there is no payment method.

When you sign up with Sentry, they will link to you on bill.com. They have no reason to link to you otherwise. They will create the link.

they use bill.com

The OP needs to clarify what they have in place.

Bill.com is a two stage confirmation process. First when the funds have been authorized, second when they post. I happen to have my bank account linked so the funds are automatically sent there when the second step happens.

I get paid via bill.com from one company. I never signed up or linked anything. Bill.com simply sends me an email notification the check is on it's way. Because it is a company I work with only a few times a year, a check is fine.

To the OP Shopstoomuch. Sounds like your report got bumped to the February 16 invoice, so though it may be a few days late, you'll probably be getting a payment notice soon. If not, send a note to their help desk. Usually they respond pretty quickly. It has happened to me more than a few times and is the reason I only accept one or two Sentry shops a year. Remember, any report not "finalized" and approved by the client by the 16th of the month gets bumped to the next month, no matter what. Since we shoppers have no control on how that process takes place, or any method to verify and monitor it's progress, it would be very easy for the company to put off invoices for another 30 days if they choose to. You'll get paid, but I hope you're cash outlay for the shop wasn't tp painful to live without for three months.

Let me answer a few of the questions brought up in this thread.

Paul is correct about reports needing to be approved by our team before they are put in the queue for payment. Under normal circumstances, payment is not delayed if the client has a question after a report has been sent to them. If a report has been approved for payment on the 16th of the month, it will be added to a shopper's invoice.

Payment for invoices 29 and 35 were processed Friday, March 31, 2017. This is exactly in line with our payment policy.

We declined Leslie's invitation in order to prevent a duplicate account from being created.

shopstoomuch - It sounds as if your payment may have encountered some difficulty during processing. I'd be happy to look into it if you email me at dave@sentrymarketing.com.

Winemaker has no factual basis for the comment posted about the financial health of Sentry. It is this type of wild, irresponsible comment that has caused our team to minimize participation on this forum.
Did anyone get their payment from the February invoices that were to be processed on March 31st?
I'm asking any shopper.
The payments that were processed on 3/31 will post on bill.com after two business days.

Again, if you are missing payment for a January assignment, we are happy to research and resolve the issue.

It's too early for payment for Feb shops but I got paid for my Jan shop today! Thanks!
Give me an f-in break Dave! I have been one of your biggest supporters...but paying people in early April for shops in January is just not right...defend that!

You are attacking a member here. That is not appropriate. Their payment terms are very clear. Several popular MSCs take two months plus to pay. Just as we are responsible for following guidelines, we elect to apply for shops after agreeing to each MSCs payment policies.

Assignments completed and released to our clients before January 16 appeared on shopper invoice 28. Invoice 28 was paid on 2/28. If the OP completed an assignment in that timeframe and has not been paid, they should contact our team for assistance.

Your comment about Sentry being in financial trouble because we turned down Leslie's invitation was nothing more than uninformed conjecture. It's complete bs to post comments like this and I have no regrets calling you out over the post.

Hey @Sentry Marketing, while you're on this forum, why do approving shops done for you take so long? Other MSCs are typically within a couple days, at most within the week. My current shop is "pending validation" at two weeks right now...
Our typical turnaround time is 1 - 3 days. We have a large project in which about 1/2 the shop schedule the first week which can delay processing. If you reach out to me directly, I can look at your shop and provide a more concrete answer.

I got paid for my January shops finally. And they were late based on Sentry's own terms. They were supposed to be paid by the end of the following month from the pay period which should have been 3/31. Not 4/4. And those shops should have had plenty of time to be edited and get on the previous pay period. That would have been 30 days sooner. Not the 90 days. There weren't forgotten and no error.

Clear as a bell. 2 business days = April 4th.

Read the above post that I quoted.
I am happy to review your shops and look into the delay. Please email me at dave@sentrymarketing.com.

I'm not sure if she will email you, but based on what you said, there was no delay? You paid on the exact day you were supposed to pay: 3/31 plus 2 business days is 4/4.
