Intellishop Is still the worst

I swear I will never do anything for them again. I think they even use our shops when they
do not pay us. Is there any way to find out ?

Why did they say they didn't pay you?

I doubt they use the shops. If there is something wrong with the report, the client doesn't pay them.

I'm with Honny. I can't imagine why any MSC would use a report that wasn't done right when they can just get a shopper to do it right.

But, to answer your question, I can't think of any way to get definite confirmation that a particular report was submitted to the client or not.
I've done hundreds of shops with Intelli-shop. I will say I've had the most trouble with a large sporting goods retailer and the editor on that project & money transfer shops. I follow directions to the T (for God's sake, I'm an accountant in real life...I do detail all day every day) and nothing on either of those two shops ever makes them happy. I have had no problems (or minor problems via new editor who doesn't know wtf they are doing) with banking shops and shoe shops, etc for them. It seems editors for different shops are bigger @#$%& than editors for others. I had a shop rejected recently because they claimed I didn't ask about price matching. In my narrative I told them that the associate had told me about price matching...so common sense would tell you I didn't have to ask they just told me. Since I do a lot of bank shops for them I didn't pursue it but I'm done with the large sporting goods retailer and the money transfer shops.

I accepted one of the money transfer shops before reading in the guidelines that I would be required to ask the agent being shopped to perform an illegal task. When I contacted the scheduler to request cancellation of the shop on ethical grounds, the shop was cancelled without penalty.
I did two shops for them last month - they were the same shop but two locations. It was a telephone tire shop. Had to call into their number, use an access code and verification code for their client and complete that portion of the survey/evaluation, then call (same process as above) the competitor in that same area (like within a few blocks); do that part of the survey. Compare the two and then submit. First shop went smooth and no problems. The second shop was in another part of the city: first part to their client went perfect and I completed the survey; went to make the second call and it went to their client - the same guy I just hung up with. I tried the number again to make sure but sure enough it was their client, not a competitor. I sent a message to the scheduler and called - several times. Finally talked with him and he said he would fix it and I could call the next day for that second shop. I did call the next day - but it was the same numbers and was connected to their client - again. I called him and messaged him. When I finally spoke with him I was kind, polite and professional, explaining that whomever in their office assigns these verification and access codes is giving me the same codes for their client and competitor - but calls all go to client. He was very rude and unprofessional and said he was giving that shop to someone else. Just found out that I didn't get paid even for the first shop that was perfect. Wish I knew how to reach his manager and get paid....any ideas????

This has happened to twice and they are they only shops I've ever had rejected. I think what the issue is when we do them is this, if we skip forward on the pages any before we are not complete it messes up in their system and makes the recording glitch. When I do reports I will occasionally go back to something I forgot to mention. You can not do that when you do these. Do the first call fill the report out entirely and click next and immediately go to the second one. If you go back at any time the numbers and system will mess up making you call the same location again.

One of the schedulers sent this email to everyone because I think it is an issue that happens frequently.
I did that shop, got the right shops, asked all the right questions and filled out the report correctly. Editor claimed I didn't but I decided it wasn't worth the battle and got on with my life. Lesson learned, won't do that type of shop again. Everything else I do for them works well.
rofl-while I think you are probably right (most of the time)....iI can tell you, for a fact!, that MSC's will use a shop they don't pay for....I tracked this via an attorney inquiry (not a lawsuit) about two years ago, and the big Nationwide company that the MSC did the shops for was very forthcoming....I settled out of court.
Good for you, winemaker. It's people like you, and the honesty of that Nationwide company, who are going to keep the MSCs honest and on their toes. Hope your settlement covered your attorney fees AND gave you pocket change. Many don't pursue for fear of not getting the help from the various clients and therefore not being able to come out as the victor. So glad your story has a happy ending!

With Intelli-shop... a report can be done right, but it won't pass some of their proofreaders... who continuously ask for more details... and more details... and more details. As I said... the report can be correct to begin with...

I've walked away from two reports with this MSC, that I am certain, they used the reports.

1) Because it was highly bonused and they couldn't get anyone else to do it.

2) It was never reposted to the shop board.

3) The report was correct when submitted.

Intelli-shop is not the worst. Intelli-shop proofreaders are the worst.
I did a bunch of these, both non-recorded and recorded. The same thing happened with me on THREE shops in one day. On mine, the second number rang to the first location's store or to an incorrect number.

My scheduler said he was sorry, but he'd have to re-assign the shops. He offered me other shops. I requested a modest attempt fee since it was their data errors in the recording software that made the shops impossible to complete and I spent 20 minutes per shop talking to the first associate and entering that much of the report each time. He did not answer. I emailed once more, still no answer came.

I maintain a 10/10 with them and usually have good experiences with them, so this was really disappointing. I am going to leave it lie because I've heard that making too much of a fuss can get you blackballed. They have a lot of work all over the US, so I don't want to burn a bridge over $24.
