Market Force Make A Shop Offer.

I received 3 calls from MF( about 30-40 minutes of each other) on Monday but I couldn't get to the phone because I was working. When I return the call later in the day there was no answer.

I went to the web site Monday night and there was a make a offer shop. I made a offer and send it in. I understand that it may take up to 24 hrs.

Tuesday morning I received the daily email and the shop was still on the boards.

Tuesday morning I received a call from MF but couldn't get to the phone because I was working.

Tuesday night I logged in to see if my offer was accepted and if I was offer the job. The job was no loner on the site. I Guess some one made another offer and they took theirs.

I did one a couple of weeks ago and it was excepted.

So the next time this shop is make a offer site I will know what to ask for. Oh well.

I made an offer today on a shop but it's still on the board. I really wanted to do it. The original price was too low for the job requirements.

I should have gone with what I did last time.. I made a note on my sheet that says make a offer

next time I know what to do

I have had significant success using the make an offer tool, receiving several $50 to $150 fast food, petroleum, and retail shops. I have a relationship with a US-Based MF scheduler, and she said that it was her understanding that the offers we make online go through the same decision process as the amounts she submits for me when she attempts to schedule shops.

But, just like the amounts that I ask for with the scheduler, I only have about a 50/50 success rate. The scheduler can give me guidelines based on experience and the site payout history to gauge how likely an offer is to be accepted. Online its a bit of a crapshoot.

Since the shop has been taken I guess I have to wait next month.

Thunder if possible can you give me the names and numbers of th he schedulers that you have talked to. If you can't I understand.

I offered to do a shop for 50 over the phone and was denied. Submitted 60.on the site a few minutes later and accepted. I dont understand them.

When I did my first one it took almost 24 hours.

I have about a 50/50 success rate too. I recently put in a relatively small offer of $50 for a wireless. It wasn't taken, and the shop was increased on the board to $25. So there's not a lot of make n offer room left.
But for the same wireless shop in a different town I submitted and $85 offer which they took. The 85 one is a bit farther out so I wonder if distance from my home address goes into their matrix.. Or if there is just no reasoning.
I logged in today and saw one of their telephone shops (call and inquire type shops) was on make an offer. Those usually don't sit on the board that long, since you can do the shop from home. That being said, I didn't make an offer.

I know this is off subject but it does pertain to the correct company. How can you determine what are the specifics of a new assignment without accepting the assignment? Most times there is no real information and I am afraid to accept the assignment only to find out it's something I just can't do and then be forced to cancel. Any info would be helpful.

Most times you won't be able to see the detailed questionaire/survey until you accept it. That's the way it is. You have to do it once to get a feel to what is like. I think you have to assume they'll want detail of the people, names, timings, etc depending on what kind of shop it is. If after you accept and don't want it, just explain kindly why but I wouldn't abuse it. Many times I've asked for details and don't get it, prior to accepting.

I have an excellent success rate with the make an offer feature. I typically underbid what I think would be the usual bid for that shop. For instance, if I have been offered $25 in the past to do the shop, I will bid $24. That way if someone else is bidding $25, I win.

I've had good luck with make an offer. Being familiar with deadlines for each client is key. Additionally, schedulers have told me that the highest fee previously given, is the highest fee that will be considered. Not always true, it all depends . . .

I just checked the MF jobs this morning, and there was a FF with a "Make An Offer" button on it. I typed in $20, thinking it wouldn't go thru....it went thru immediately!! Plus the reimbursement! It's on my way home from an appt tomorrow, so it all works out! Thanks MF!!

There was a shop with a $30 fee for a high end designer with a required purchase of $500-$1000. It was on the board for over a week and I waited for the "make an offer" to appear. Well. it did and I offered $50. It sat, and sat, and sat. I checked today and it was gone.

I really wanted to do that shop but there is no way in heck a $30 shop fee is sufficient for a $500 purchase.

I've been bidding $20-$25 and they are accepted immediately for cell phone and other retail shops.

I have had no luck making offers online, but today I got my first ever call from a Marketforce US-based scheduler. She had four shops she was looking to get assigned. I took two of them at the very generous rate she was offering, and made an offer for the others. I'll see what happens.

When you are looking at the list of jobs in your area, if there is a make an offer there will be a little green icon next to it. If you see that then click "view shop details" and you will see a place to submit your offer.

Thank you, CQ. I see one of those now. Most shops in my area don't have that feature, but a small minority do. It happens to be that I never do those types of shops, so I didn't bother checking.

I still have had no luck with any of my offers. Lately, I've put in offers on jobs I didn't really want to see if I could get just one accepted. The crazy thing is that the offers I'm putting in are only a few dollars over the listed amount. It's easier for me to accept jobs when their schedulers call me. I think there are too many shoppers in my are willing to do the jobs at base price on the board. It doesn't seem worth the effort of putting in an offer then holding that space in my schedule for 48 or 72 hrs (I've forgotten how long) in the off chance of being selected.

@shoptastic i don't see many "make an offer" shops. But when I do, they are on the left side of the screen. Under the "shop type" are a list of shops: icons for fast food, retail, etc. Directly on fast food, retail etc, a green icon will appear. If you are interested in that shop, click view details, the next page will let u type in an amount u want for the shop. If MF accepts ur offer, they will email u prob within 24 hours and the assignment will be listed under "my shops". If they Dont accept ur offer, they will not contact u.

I put in an offer of $45 for a simple retail job not expecting to get it as I live in a very populated area with probably 100 good shoppers with 25 miles.
I got it. Oops. Easy money though.
