Mintel does have some off the wall shops. My favorite was measuring the water in my toilet bowl.

I did contact one of my regular schedulers at Mintel and he confirmed the email I had gotten was legit. Unfortunately before I got the job I received another email stating the client had changed the city where the project was to be done. ;-( I love Mintel!

Has anyone done their competitor shipping shop? I have 2 in my area right now. One is for shipping out, one is for picking up. Pay is not bad. Any advice?

I just did a drop off this morning - getting ready to put it on - I think the pick up one will be easier but I haven't gotten my email yet to pick up my package. I wasn't crazy about the doing the label online but that was the shipping companies website. Next time it should be easier.

I thought they were surprisingly simple for the pay rate. I expected to jump through much smaller hoops for the fee.

I did a Mintel pick up a week or so ago... they mailed out of Chicago to the location nearest me (10 miles).... unfortunately, that office didn't accept the package, and I had to drive an hour each way to pick up the item at a large city office. That didn't come with the instructions.... I wasn't expecting to drive two hours for one shop, so I didn't make much money on the shop... but they do pay on time.

They are incredibly easy shops for the money. I did get three envelopes instead of one, but it was not an issue.

OMG! I didn't even realize I did it!! Thanks, MOD!!! See?? Even long time Forum members make goofs!!!

SO.........all I will say about my previous post is that it was an easy-peasy drop-off scenario, and I was approved within just hours of reporting....gotta love 'em!!

I thought the shipping company was the client for these shops, not the place you can drop off the package, no?

Just want to say that the fee plus reimbursement for this shop, which I did just this past Thursday (today is Monday) is ALREADY in my bank account! WOO-HOO!! Thanks, Mintel!! Gotta love 'em!
