Alleged Report Errors -- Shoppers, Inc. (www.shopperjobs.com)

AVOID! Unprofessional and non-responsive to general inquiries. This company hires independent contractors as mystery shopping consultants. Their representatives indicate that there are spelling/grammatical errors on your report; however, they are unwilling to provide you with specific feedback when asked on multiple occasions. There are better choices -- try Shapard Research, Bare International, Confero, Inc. or any other ethical company that maintains higher standards in their code of conduct and business activities.

What on earth are you talking about? I've completed numerous shops for them and I have had nothing but a positive experience. The schedulers are accessible and responsive, and the editors are quite generous. I have 10's across the board. Payment was always right on time too.
Ditto to what CoffeeQueen said. Shopper's reps are responsive, friendly, and easy to work with. I've done numerous shops with them and never had a problem - 10s across the board. The one time I was late receiving a payment, they were quick to apologize and rectify the situation.
I love it when someone starts a thread to bash a company that I'm not familiar with, then respected members post their positive experiences, which in turn inspires me to register for the company, and I find six new shops in my area that I would have otherwise never known about.
Thanks everyone!
I haven't completed any shops for them in over a year, but my experience has been nothing but positive. Their assignments were straightforward. My scheduler provided responsive communication and feedback. They paid when they said they would. I like them. It's too bad they have nothing in my area at this moment.
Although my work for this MSC was a decade ago, when they operated under a different name, my experiences were all positive.
What is the link to signup with Shapard?

Also - I love Shoppers, Inc. They were one of the first companies I signed up with and they have a chain of nice restaurants in my area. My scheduler is always accessible, polite and professional. They also pay fairly quickly.
Shoppers Inc is one of my favorites too. Just wish they did PayPal deposits instead of checks. Come to think of it, I wish everyone would just use bitcoin.
Why in the world would you want to be paid by bitcoin and all the hassles converting it to cash? When a company pays me via PayPal, like today, I initiate a transfer to my bank and it is there in it's entirety by the time the bank opens tomorrow.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

I only shop one regional chain of stores for them, but the shops are easy, and the rep for these jobs is friendly, responsive and flexible. The pay isn't that high, but the workload is light, and the reports fast and easy to complete. My shops are convenience stores, and some of them include buying reimbursed hot food, which is actually better quality than typical "burrito bomb" type offerings. They have some of the best street tacos around! These shops don't pay enough bonus to travel to them, but if I'm already routing shops for that area, I will pick them up as quick and easy fillers to pad my schedule that day.
I tool have had nothing but positive experience with this MSC.

I will gladly accept USD, CAD, EUR, CHF, GBP, JPY, and many other currencies. Bitcoin, never.

Zero hassle for me, and I would prefer not to have it in my bank anyway. You could put it in a shift or bitpay Visa if you don't have any bitcoin atms near you and withdraw cash anywhere. That way you could enjoy the monstrous returns I'm currently enjoying. BTC hit $1700 yesterday. I started investing last year when it was only $650 and it's been skyrocketing. I love it and use my btc cards all the time.
I call BS. Here you are commenting on a forum when you have no experience with the company. Come back after you get screwed a couple of times.
What the hell? Who are you responding to anyway?

Got to love it when someone resurrects a months old thread to talk nonsense. They had to search for it so wtf?
Perhaps oktess and reedryan know each other. intimately. they're the only two (one?) in agreement on this thread.
Ahh. NO just did a Google search for complaints about Shopper.com because I had the same experience and to ChrisCooper--you are probably an employee too. If you haven't had the same experience why compound the problem by bashing others who have had a bad experience? Unless, of course, there is some reason, like you are employee and want to discourage others from speaking?

oktess,
ChrisCooper is a well known contributor to the forum. We have no reason to thing that Chris works for ANY MSC. Just because someone has had a different experience, that does not make them a shill for the MSC. However,. the OP has not presented any concrete evidence of fraud by the MSC and no other shoppers have had bad experiences. If you have had bad experience with this MSC, we await the details. But generalizations about MSC fraud cannot be taken seriously. Specifics would help to support any complaint.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Let's look at this logically. On one hand we have several well-known, contributing members of the forum. On the other we have one who posted nothing of substance then did not return and a second who posted to accuse aforementioned members of nefarious actions.

I do agree with oktess on one thing, my BS meter is off the chart.

What does shopper.com have to do with this thread? Nothing. Stop confusing apples and oranges.
Good catch Rousseau.

It was challenging, but I found Shapard Research

'...The ShapardResearch Difference
We are the largest mystery shopping company in Oklahoma, with the largest staff of hand-picked, well-trained and supervised shoppers in the state. How can we pull this off? Because everyone of our shoppers are direct employees of ShapardResearch. Our competition uses independent contractors found on Craiglists and newspaper want-ads, or recruit customers of their client. Both methods have limitations with regard to recruitment, training and supervision..."
