MarketForce "insect" shops

Just noticed a wireless shop that requires a 2 hour visit to the store. What goes on for 2 hours? smiling smiley I barely can tap dance through the 20 minute wireless shops. Has anyone done one of these?

I'm curious too. I believe the assignment is labeled as an "audit" so I'm thinking that's why they say to allow 2 hours. I'm wondering if there are a ton of photos required, like there were with the vitamin shops.
hhrrbb.......I performed those shops. Actually the retail is no bigger than a studio apt. So assign away. grinning smileygrinning smiley
Max photo was 5, including storefront. If you don't want them I'll take them. smiling smiley I stay 20 minutes because the store was MT, me and the retail employee.

I have done 2. The first was about 20 minutes because there were several employees who could assist customers while the employee I was working with was able to focus his full attention. The second was much longer. The employee was by herself. She told me she had had no customers yet that day, but they came in while I was there so I spent a lot of time waiting. I will still do them when I see them. Easy money.
I've scheduled 5 in one day. They are very easy peasy. As one poster stated, most times there is only 1 employee and the Manager which makes it super easy because the Manager can assist you with no wait time. 20 minutes top. I think they give a 2 hour window because in my area some locations get very busy which makes the wait time unbearable. 3-5 photos at best. Reports are rather simple as well. Grab them while you can and while the pay is doable for the amount of work required.
These are starting to go up. Thanks for this thread. I took one to try it out and after that I may do more.

I enjoy awkward questions and uncomfortable silences. This gas station pavement is $%^@*#& hot.
Quick question....I just nabbed one of these at a bonused price for next week. The instructions state "a minimum of 11 photos", yet several posters here state they have done less than 6. Just wondering, are the instructions different for different locations??? Or is it that even though the instructions state a minimum of 11, that the MSC will accept less than that somehow??? TIA!
LOL. I went back to get a shop or 2 and they are gone in my area!!! There are tons of shoppers here, so it's not surprising.
The only required photo is the storefront however; when asking the associate questions from the survey, if their answer is "NO" a photo must be taken. There are about 20-25 questions. Hope this helps. It's not complicated at all. Just be sure that when asking the question to look beside the multiply choice answers that it states whether a photo is required. Hope this help and my explanation is understood clearly. I believe that most shoppers aren't scooping up these shops because they notice the "2 hour" time frame which doesn't look desirable. Trust me, grab them especially if you are in the DMV area because they are going for 25-30 bucks.
I'm doing a couple of these shops in the near future. The two hour window is in case the location is busy. You need to be wiling to wait up to 2 hours to get to speak to an associate. At least that's my understanding. Me, I plan on being on the doorstep when they open the doors smiling smiley

Be aware: Brand new photo guidelines as of May 3rd. A few things have changed. Rather, the sign styles have changed and that is what you are looking for...
On the form that you need to print out, beside each question that requires a picture if the answer is no, is a little camera icon. If you take one question at a time i don't see how you can go wrong. Also, getting there early as Joscelin suggested greatly reduces your chances of having to wait around.

Perhaps you should re-read your guidelines. There are no multiple choice questions. and the required photos are clearly stated. To pass on wrong information leads to a shop being rejected. The storefront is not the only required photo. Read your guidelines in its entirety.

Don't forget that one must call the shop at least 48 hr before. and get the answerer name and the time you called. smiling smiley

I did my first of these yesterday. It was super easy because if you print out the form and ask the questions and take pictures of everything you just can't go wrong. Of course you could conceivably have a wait time but barring that it's a good shop, worth the money.

SOOOooooo glad I read this! I have one due for Thursday, and had already read the guidelines, but forgot about the pre-call 48 hrs ahead. Read this late last night and thought "Oh yeah....have to do that". I called this morning....I probably would have forgotten if not for your post, Sojo....so thanks!!
Just wondering, I did my "insect shop" last Wednesday the 10th. Receipts have been verified, but report is still in QC. For those of you who have already done these, any idea on the average # days this stays in QC??? Thanks.
I took one, based on this thread. I completed mine on the 10th also, it just was changed to "approved" today, prior, like yours it was showing still in QC.
Don't remember exactly, but it took quite a while. It was longer than usual, but I had 5-6 different shops in QC for a while. All were approved. They must be a bit backed up...give them some prune juice..

Yup....saw that mine was approved when I check again around 9 pm. PHEW! It was my first one, and I didn't want to find out I had goofed or something. But all is good now!
Keep in mind that since May 1, the survey has gone through 2 revisions. The last one being May 11. Look for any updates and make sure you are aware of them. smiling smiley smiling smiley
Thanks sojo, I might pick up another one, so I appreciate the heads up. Same with me guysmom, I like to make sure everything goes good with a new shop, before I think of taking another one.
I did one in a small town and there were no customers. It took 20 minutes, max. When I entered my time, it prompted a flag which asked, "How were you able to complete the shop so quickly?" Anyone else have this happen?
MF has always flagged my reports when I've complete the shop in less than 20 minutes. I just state that the associate helped me immediately, asked key questions, and gave their undivided attention. I've never had anyone question me after the report was submitted. I wonder if they assume that customers will have to wait 5 minutes for assistance. That has rarely been the case for me.

Apparently the Client bought a "big" account. but has little sizes in-store. The average store is the size of a bedroom. I give the report at least 30 minutes. Taking more pictures and asking the questions. smiling smiley I am travelling later this month, I am going to see if the stores in the city is bigger.

One audit at the retail was like an "Open book" test. The retail had a paper that had every question and replies on it. Frequently he would "high five" the others because he was aware of the questions to give appropriate response.

The audit was not about right and wrong answers. The leasing company, need to know and follow the laws.
The gloating was out of place. A mistake would be the first one to violate the leasing lawgrinning smiley
