A Closer Look grocery shop suggestions

I'm doing my first ACL grocery shop next week--yes, despite all the warnings here. Don't judge :-)

I'm not a meat eater, so I don't plan on buying anything from that counter. What questions can I ask that wouldn't lead to a sale?

Can I feeeze meat or seafood that was previously frozen? I am hosting a Mother's Day/Graduation event and am starting to plan now, how much xxx do I need to buy to feed xx people?
Whenever I have to ask a question and don't plan on buying I tell them I am going to a potluck in a few weeks and relate the question to that. I don't want to buy the item yet just getting the information - if they ask.
I tell them that I am looking for ideas of something good to go onto the grill. They should make a suggestion and then just say you want to think about it or come back later in the week to buy it fresh. I used this very scenario this week and the associate said, "oh, ok.." and walked off! He sure did fail!
When I don't want to actually buy meat, I'll tell a meat associate (just did this today!!) that I have an event coming in xxx # days, and want to know if they can custom order cuts of meat for this event, and ask how much notice do they need to do this. It works great every time!
Once I said I had gotten some chicken that I was planning on cooking for a picnic and I was wondering what kind of marinade/rub/BBQ sauce would go good on it.

I haven't done these for ACL, but for other MSC grocery shops, I will ask the butcher if they charge to grind/shred/slice a certain cut of meat. I may ask if they are able to grind boneless chicken or pork for customers. I've also asked them if they have a specific time or day they mark down their meat for the discount area. Ask things you might ask anyway, if you weren't a shopper. Ask them the difference between their ground beef and ground chuck--simple questions.
I have asked every question imaginable and two favorites are: what kind of meat do you recommend for a slow cooker, or which fish is healthier, am always told Wild Salmo, then say I'm going to look a little more, thanks.
Didn't know ACL does grocery stores now!!
