Quest for Best???

Anyone work for Quest for Best? I received a lead to Quest for Best via LinkedIn. I applied on their website, and received an email from a Scott Fishman (sfishman.questforbest@gmail.com) about a week ago, and again today. However, something is definitely fishy (no pun intended!) with his email account. I noticed on the company website for Quest for Best that their contact email address states as @questforbest.

Anyone else been contacted by this Scott Fishman? Thanks for your help/feedback/thoughts on this.

Why not just contact them directly through their website and not through the Linked In email? I found this on their shopper site - shoppers@questforbest.com
My email upon being added to their shopper base was from Chuck Roam. Are you trying to get hired to work in the main office or as a shopper?

Doing what I can to enhance the life of my family! I LOVE what I do smiling smiley
Chuck Roam is who you need to speak with. He is very accessible and an all around great guy.

Quest for Best is a legitimate company and is one of my favorites, due to the nice fee + easy report for a particular client that has many locations near me.

I have never heard of S. Fishman personally, but have emailed a "Nancy" and a "Charles" before. I know both of them are real people who work for or manage the company.

Do you have access to the website's job area yet?

If you'd like, I can PM you Nancy's email address. I can't recall if I saved Charles' email or not, since he wrote to me so long ago. But I definitley have Nancy's from recent emails.

I tried sending an email via quest for the best website. However, I have not received a response back. I received a sizable check and returning it back...just want to make sure this guy Scott Fishman (sfishman.questforthebest@gmail.com) is really from Quest for the Best. His email doesn't seem legitimate...why not @questforthebest.com the way their website has it instead of a gmail account...?

I need confirmation that Scott Fishman is truly with Quest for the Best... Do you think Nancy would know or can find out? Thanks!
Yes. I would like to contact Chuck immediately. How can I get a hold of Chuck and or Nancy? Thank you!
Yes, he is the owner/ manager. (901) 388-7203

I just witnessed the same issue and contacted the owner. Apparently, Quest for best was hacked and data breached. There is no employee named Scott and I followas ed it through to see where it went. The cashiers check was confiremed as fraudulent.
I've contacted the local FBI office as this is a federal offense.
Be careful, don't spend your own money and don't give any personal information.
Cmshops, in the case of these scams it does not mean the database was hacked. In fact, it is unlikely since so few Quest for the Best shoppers are getting the emails, myself included.

Often the scam artists use the names of legitimate companies. The emails are sent en masse and it is even likely the email addresses are computer-generated. It costs the scam artist little while a small percentage of victims from tens of thousands of emails sent could net them a healthy haul.

LisaSTL- I hear you and have seen many scams. This was different as they used that specific business website to create the fraud. That's why I decided to call the company. Nancy, the owner's relative, confirmed that they were hacked a couple months ago. I'm only giving this info in case other folks look here before they start cashing checks.
Thanks for clarifying. Whenever a company's name is used a lot of folks assume the website was hacked and it usually has not been. Between the hacking and a phony job posting on this forum that led to a sophisticated phishing site, it looks like the crooks are learning new tricks all the time.

There is someone using to company's information to scam. My son applied and was told he was hired. He was informed that he would recieve $1800 and about 350 was to be used for purchases. However, he was informed to give his debit card number(which he did) and they would deposit funds into his account. Well he recieved funds but the money came from a stolen check. What they did was use a check that had already been cleared by the bank in his account, electronically altered it and deposited back into his account. Thank goodness the check that they used came from his god parent and we were notified right away. The banks handled things fine. But just imagine how many people this happened to.
I just got scammed! The scammer sent me a check and told me to keep $350. And to buy 16 $100 iTunes gift cards for future purchases. Who should I report this to other than here. They asked me to send a pic of the number on the back of the card. Claimed they are from Quest for Best
Thank goodness I found this. I just got this same request from Quest for Best. Is there an email where I can forward the interaction?
Thays why im here. Cause inknew it was to good to be true. In my case i was contacted by a Robert. Where he harrassed me about cashing a check and sending the money.

These two are not related or married. They are both people that work for Quest for Best.

Which two are you talking about? If you mean Chuck and Nancy, they are siblings.
Robert is the same guy who contacted me. I just got my check today and the bank name on the check looked suspect so I came to this forum. Have you tried depositing the check and engaging with them further? Were you able to determinenif it is legit or a scam?
You got a check for work you have not done and you want to know if it is a scam? Three guesses and the first two don't count.

Without hacking, it would be easy to set up a gmail account in the format: name.name of MSC@gmail.com. It would not be easy to get the shoppers though. I deal with several schedulers with companies who use gmail accounts as their business contact accounts.
I was also scammed the same way .. for $2420.00. Did you file a police report did you get your money back?
Hi All,

I just deposited the check from Robert,
Did the shop today but, did not get the 100-$200 Itunes cards that he keeps pressing me to get ASAP. I will contact my bank and eat the $70 that I spent already.
Robert is the person that contacted me too. Sent me a check for $2420 and wanted me to purchase 100 $200 Itune cards and text him the bar codes for future purchases.
I used to do a furniture store for them, but they haven't had anything in my area for years.
