Marketforce gas station shops

I saw a ton of the marketforce gas station shops posted the other day in my area. $5 reimbursement and $8 fee. Nothing to exciting but I was thinking that they might be worth it if I was traveling to another area for a different shop anyways. Most of them are already gone so am I right to assume they must be pretty easy. I think the shop said something like 2 gallons of gas, one item from store, and 2 discreet pictures required. What do you guys think about these shops?

I don't see any in my area at all. I"ve seen them by another company and i think it's $10 and $10.
Oregon. The reimbursement will not even cover the 2 gallons of gas but maybe it is still worth it.

The shop itself is easy and most take only 10 minutes at the location and 20 minutes for the report. I usually grab 15-20 every month, schedule them for the last available day and reschedule (allowed to 1 time) to fit my route.

In my area, $5 is just enough for 2 gallons of gas.
15 shops would be $120 + 30 gallons ($75) = $195
These are pretty straightforward mystery shops. The reimbursement may not cover the cost of 2 gallons of gas, but the store purchase is something of your choice. The pics are of the entire station and the main sign.

The mystery shop plus revealed audit afterwards are priced the same way, so make sure you know what you're getting into before accepting the shop. I have not done the revealed audits.

There are may posted in my state. They all include an audit. I asked MF for more detail on the audit. No way I would touch at $8. Or any other shoppers apparently. The shops are just sitting on the boards.

There are two kinds, one mystery shop and one mystery shop followed by an announced audit. The pay and reimbursement is the same for both. I do the mystery shops and ignore the ones with audits. The mystery shop is easy and fast and the report is a breeze. I have never done one of the audits, but I notice they sit on the board a while and are usually done with bonuses toward the end of the month.
Consider this: once an announced audit is done, it would be difficult to return to the same location for a simple mystery shop. MFI may have some limitations regarding a return trip to a location after an audit.
I've done a number of all types of gas station shops. The MS only are easy, but I rarely do them at $8. I do ghetto well, so I get the MF ones at $16 plus 5. And a short drive away. I do country ones at the same rate. The hardest part of the revealed audit are the pump displays. All elements must be there and MF's instructions has an easy cheat sheet for the 10 photos, but you have to check to see if you need a photo for an issue. I usually take photos of all pumps.

They do night time shops with these as well. Make sure to catch the logo on the canopy, even with the two photo shops. I had to return because there was no logo showing on my overall picture. It was fun trying to get a side shot with the configuration of the gas station to its environment. Also make sure you have a good low light camera for night shops.

Fun things: one shop I was ending the MS portion when one guy illegally parking in the fire lane got into it with someone else illegally parked in said fire lane because she was parked in front of the door. Then there were the seven police cars with two vehicles parked in the lot whose occupants were being arrested. AT night. I had a fun time capturing the required sign and overall picture photos. And the station had the brightest flood lights I've encountered.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

Very easy. I grab them. I get free gas, a free item from the store. I take the pictures from inside my car. The report is also very easy.
Easy for $8? To me it's the principle. Why should I be paid 50 cents more for way more work than their mystery shop and expose myself as a shopper on top of it. They are now up to $9 in my state.

I think those of us who are saying they are very easy are talking about the mystery shop, which requires purchases of gas and merchandise in the convenience store, with a couple of photos. It has a very easy report. I have never done the gas mystery shops that are followed by the audit, and it appalls me that the fee is the same for the additional audit as for the mystery shop. I have heard the audits are also very easy, but if they add an audit, I certainly believe they should pay more. Hold off. The mystery shops are taken very fast. The audits stay on the board a long time, even here where there's an overload of shoppes, and they get bonuses added.
I am talking about the mystery shop one. 2 pictures, gas, item in store, check restroom. Easy. I would never take the audit ones for what they pay.

I have done both at the same location and have never had a problem. I think the rotation is one month reveal, the next month mystery shop. I certainly never take the audit at base price, it has to be at least $25. The mystery shop I usually do at $15.
I made the mistake of doing the audit for $8 and not just the mystery shop. Never again. Way too time consuming.
For the mystery shop only, its worth doing at $8 if it is not out of your way at all. If it is out of your way, I would recommend waiting for a bonus. I won't do an audit for less than $30, and that is assuming its right on my route or very close to home. I have done mystery shops for as low as the base price and for as high as $100 depending upon the location. I have done audits for between $30 and $125 depending upon the location. I can finish a mystery shop in 10 minutes and enter the info into my phone on the android app in 10 minutes or less. Audits take me between 20 and 45 minutes depending upon the location, and are a nightmare trying to enter on the android app with all the pictures. I can report an audit in about half an hour on my phone and 20 minutes or less on my computer.

FYI, audits are easier at newer and well maintained stations. The older stations with lots of issues will require a ton of photos.
I do quite a few of the mystery shop ones. Very easy. Picture of station and PID,2 gallons gas,1 item in store and check restroom. $5 reimburse $8 pay.
