That's annoying.... I rarely do their shops, but I like to check their job board frequently, just in case... I don't want to be removed...

They de-activated me years ago because I worked both in L.A. and Vegas..nothing surprise's me...stupid comes to mind.....

I did not think this is a good idea , I have not work for them because I have never seen a shop in my area but still I like to check just in case a odd one comes up.
Perhaps this is a warning, for the OP.
I wish the OP would come back and offer some clarification. The practice seems like it would fly in the face of independent contracting and even MF's own preference for hobby shoppers over professional shoppers. Even requiring the IC to work once per month could be construed as exercising more control than allowed.

Right. And until the middle of last month I hadn't done any shops for MF this year. If this is a current practice, June must have been the first month it was a policy.
My guess is someone told the OP that they run the program that deactivates shoppers on the 3rd of every month and they thought that meant you had to have worked for them in the past month.

I never heard of this. I looked my employment history and I have missed 1 month only since 2011. Waaaa 
MF frequently send out emails and new shopper's message, if not one a week then at least one a month. If what the OP post is legit it would be in the messages sent out. This post perception is an example of fake news. I looked at all messages for the year and even as far back one year,(june '16) and nothing of the sort was sent out.
I have not done an assignment since April.(over a month) and no current assignments are waiting for me to do. I am still active however when I tried to sign in this morning I got a notice that my ID or password was incorrect. While I was reading the page looking for the place to request my password it started to load anyway. Once it loaded up came the ICA for me to sign again. I signed it and then when I looked in my account it still had my previous jobs listed. Loading pages was slow but they would load if I hit one of the other icons. In any case jobs are still there etc. I do remember them saying something about a new website look coming today so expect things to be slow....
MF deactivated me after 6 or 7 years. They do not have any shops I like, so I have not done any. I called and was immediately re-instated, but still nothing I like. Needless to say, was deactivated again the next month.
I haven't done a job for them since March. I logged in yesterday with no problems and could see shops in my area.
