ATH Applications Pending

Quick question for you seasoned shoppers:

I have been signed up with ATH for about 3 weeks now but haven't done any shops for them. I applied for one 2 weeks ago, passed the certification required, and then just waited for an approval or denial. The day of the shop came, and when it was too late to drive to the location and complete the shop, I had to cancel my application. Last week, I saw another shop I was interested in pop up, and again I took the certification test and applied. That application has now been pending for 4 business days. I have 5 days until the shop, but I am not sure if I should be reaching out to someone to find out a status. I don't want my only history with the company to be applying for shops and then canceling applications, but I don't have much choice as far as I can tell.

Is it normal to wait that long for an application to be approved? I can understand waiting a few days, but it seems strange to not hear anything at all, even on the day of the shop.

This is very normal it seems that the clients sometime change there mind or don't carry though with the projects.
Thanks, that makes me feel better. Well, kind of, since these were worth almost $100 each. Hopefully I end up finding a legitimate one with them soon.
I had the same experience. I was signed up with them for 3 months before I snagged my first job with them. I almost didn't believe the "accepted" email when I received it. There are some on here that have done a lot of assignments with them though. Maybe they can provide more insight.
I've done a few with Ath.... It was slow to get the first one, but I simply kept applying. I've also sent schedulers a nice email letting them know that I was interested in a shop. I also get the idea that their contracts have different types of deadlines than other MSC's as they don't seem to panic at the end of the month trying to folks to take shops.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
I have done three with them, and all three I was approved very quickly. But... I also had one pending for several days that I had to finally give up on because I was no longer available. I even emailed the scheduler with no reply. I now have another pending for next week so I'm hoping for the best.
