Intelli-shop appliance shop WARNING NEW SHOPPERS!!!!!

This has been discussed on here before but for new people here I think this needs to be said. Intelli-shop has some appliance shops just posted on their board for $10.00. DO NOT TAKE THESE!!!!! They are horribly complicated and time consuming. A couple of months ago they had these same shops for the same price and I foolishly thought they wouldn't be too bad. I spent over an hour in the store and more than an hour on the report. After I submitted the report, the editor wanted to know why I spent so much time in the store since it was only supposed be about an hour. The answer was that I had a great salesperson and I couldn't just cut her off. Minimum wage here is $10. I got less than half that for this shop Bottom line is wait until it gets bonused if you even take it then. Personally, I wouldn't take it again for less than $60 and then only if I had a day with nothing else to do.

thank you for this warning. I have a meeting tomorrow in a neighborhood that has three of them up. I almost requested them. I'm not a new shopper, but I am greasing up the wheels again since I finished graduate school and want to pay my loans off asap.
I recently asked for the Guidelines ahead, never got them, so I won't do the shop.
Another MSC in the past had these shops, the pay was higher and less time consuming.

Edit I never got the Guidelines.

Sassymmmm you must have gotten the only good sales person in your area! I did these shops regularly for the other company and I NEVER had a sales person who handled the "demo the app" part correctly, most could do the "Out of Stock" part, but the department sales people? OMG it was pulling teeth to get 15 minutes with them. As for cutting people off, hello, "Omg look at the time! I've got to run. You've been great thanks!"

I've also done one for Intellishop recently and did not find it too onerous. The salesperson was knowledgeable but didn't like the brand being shopped (oops) and the report wasn't too bad. I think I got more than I'd gotten from the other MSC but it may have been bonused by $5.

I had a terrible experience too. I politely emailed the scheduler to let her know that it was in my top 3 never-do-again shops and that it was insulting that client sells very expensive high end appliances, yet I made minimum wage on the time invested (even with a bonus). I didn't get a response, but didn't expect one.
My shop was a success but oh yes, took far too much time, redundant questions and narrative requirements and yes, just don't.....
I don't think I would ever do any shop with intelli besides a basic qsr. Just reading the overview, and I know the shop is multiplied by 5, I can tell it wouldn't be worth it. If I was loosing my car and needed to make a payment and had nothing but time; maybe. I think the owners of intelli are the same as the survey.com app because they both have three or four shops in one for .3/4 pay of the first shop.
I took it at 18 dollars. And even at that price, I would say it was horrible. They want full details, SKU nos and what not. I was exhausted doing the report. I got paid but I am never doing those again. Sometimes, there are shops that require practically nothing and pay great and then there are shops like these. And yes, now I see them posted for $10.. Taking shoppers for fools I suppose.
Assuming that these are the big box shops that used to be Maritz... I too never met well trained/motivated staff at those stores; they always took either very long or only seconds. And I always demanded and got big bonuses because they were such awful shops.

It's not that store/shop. It's for the appliance brand, strictly.

I did two of these last month. One was fairly quick, at a well-known big box store. The other was a specialty retailer and took close to an hour. I took both shops with a bonus but I would never do them for $10. I saw them posted in my area again recently and by the next day they were mostly gone so someone must be willing to do them for that price.
