A little worried about a Seelevelhx shop I've been assigned......

I have been assigned a shop with Seelevelhx that pays $20 and also reimburses $60 of the annual fee to join a wholesale warehouse membership chain, which to me is a lucrative shop and one I'm happy to have been assigned. Until I read the fine print: Namely, the POV requirment that Seelevelhx has now. Once again, they want a digital image of the store name and address together and in Phoenix such does not exist at any store I've ever shopped at. I have done shops for Seelevelhx before with this requirement and the scheduler has managed to get the shop through, but the last time this happened was over six months ago and I recently read a thread on Seelevelhx about others having troubles with this requirement. I don't like asking this, but....would you bail if it were you?

I did send the scheduler an email calmly expressing my concerns, and the shop is not due until Sunday so hopefully I will get a helpful reply. I will hope for the best as I've had pretty good luck with this company - I just don't want to be out of a membership fee if my report is rejected for reasons that are through no fault of my own. What is your take on this, folks? Thanks for your replies in advance, btw and Happy Shopping out there!

Well, does the wholesale club have a grace period where you can get your money back and cancel if something goes awry? I would think that they would. Hopefully geoverify and a geotagged photo would be suffice. Please let us know what your scheduler writes back (if you do hear back). I haven't done anything for SeeLevel in awhile other than wings shops, so I don't know what to tell you otherwise.
I have had a few shops for them where the street number adddess was not on the building or I could not capture it along with the store name. I still took a picture and did the GEO verification. I've had no problem so hopefully it will work for you.
Same thing here. The address was not on the store exterior anywhere. I didn't get a response from scheduler when I emailed her to inform her, so I used GeoVerify and Geo-coding on exterior picture. I mentioned the problem in my report and a separate email to scheduler. I never heard back, but I was paid.
I have done many shops for Seelevel with the same requirement (but for a different client). For most of those shops, it was physically impossible to meet the requirement, I always explained in my report why I was unable to upload a photo that met the requirement, and I have always been paid without any problem. I don't even use GeoVerify.
I also live in the Phoenix area and I must admit, I really don't understand this requirement. I haven't had any problems with See Level and this requirement yet, I hope to keep it athat way.

I only do their wings shops now as well.

I'm in Phoenix as well and haven't had this issue with SeeLevel...almost grabbed that shop too lol
I just did a wings shop and had NO problem...must be one bad egg in otherwise a decent company.

Live consciously....
I just did a shop which required store front photo with street number. The store was on the corner of an intersection. No street number posted on either side of the building (or on the curb, etc). Best I could give was a photo of the store taken from the center of the intersection with cars zooming by. In the center of the photo are the street signs of the two streets. One can see that the store was at the interaction of Street A and cross street B.

Well folks, Thank You for the replies and here is an update. I did hear back from the scheduler this morning but she completely dodged addressing the issue of the POV requirement that in the real world does not exist. I have read through all of your replies - again, Thank You - and I will go ahead and do the shop, noting on the input form the issue with the POV requirement. We'll see how it goes.
And still taking a photo of the storefront with your cell phone and location turned on so it will have a geolocation tag on it, and using geoverify as well...I would think you will be just fine.
It's too bad, they're begging to have these completed and they won't address the issue head on.

Exactly. It's like the right hand has no idea what the left one is doing.....

Just wanted to check in with an update. I did contact the scheduler once again, thanking her for her reply but stating that my issue about the POV requirement remained unaddressed in her last email to me. She sent me another email, directing me to get the best picture of the outside of the warehouse store I could. Which I did, and of course I saved this email. I did do the shop - it was quite easy actually, and the form was remarkably quick to breeze through and I am now a member of this warehouse. So - hopefully all will be well here. Once I get editorial feedback I will post the results, and I Thank You all again for your replies.

All's well that ends well. My shop was scored today at 10/10 and so obviously it was accepted. I guess it's an all clear with Seelevelhx's POV requirements....but I will keep mentioning the issue with the store name and address not being close together when doing future Seelevelhx shops, just to cover myself, though I'm sure they have heard of this issue from other shoppers more than once by now. Thanks for everyone's input!
It has become tiresome to perform extra tricks for situations such as this unsatisfiable client demand. It exists for at least two location types and in at least two US regions. This is two and two = too many.

It is wise and brilliant to do all those extra things, and you are generous when you share your tips with others. It helps us to cover our as and get paid.

But it should not be necessary.

But I am grateful for the tips.

And I have another update......ay carumba. Apparently the client did not like my answers I submitted and is now asking for information I was not aware I might need to know at a later date for this shop. I guessed as best I could and I sent the scheduler an email, being the honest person that I am, that I was guessing at best as to my answer and that I did not know, based on the original form, that I would be responsible to answer these particular questions. I offered to walk away from the shop entirely, waiving the $20 - and if they do end out paying me, I will donate the $20 to Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah, which happens to be my favorite charity. As to the membership fee for this unnamed warehouse - I am not out that as this company will reimburse the fee at any time as per their policy up on the wall I observed while I was in line to become a member. So - I guess the lesson here? If it sounds too good, be wary, like with anything else in life. In other words, this shop was quite generous - the expectations are going to be ramped up accordingly. Given that I have spent so much of my life fighting and that I'm quite burnt out at the age of 50, I'm happy to have reached a place in life where I'm OK with just walking away. There will be those here who don't get this and that's cool - for me this is growth and I'm happy with my decision. That said, there are a few people here from Phoenix - if you want to try your luck with this shop, perhaps it will be up on the board again soon? I'd recommend being wary, though.....I'm sure I have a lot to learn in mystery shopping but I'm not a rookie, either, and I had issues......I'd pass this along to a long term pro if it were up to me personally. Good luck shopping out there.....
You have me worried now. I signed up for one of these, they only let you have one. I read the guidelines and the shop form. It seems like all of the others they have done for the cc and I've done a bazillion of those.

Sorry, I don't mean to worry you. Perhaps you will have no problems and won't have the issues I seem to be having? I also realize that my solution is not for everyone but it's sure good for my mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Seelevelhx probably doesn't have the highest opinion of me now I'd guess.....they probably are not used to people cheerfully and voluntarily just walking away. Whatever. At any rate, spicy1, I like your handle here and I wish you the best with this shop. One tip I do have - I've never had a membership to this warehouse before and I didn't know what a madhouse Sunday afternoon would be. Maybe if you can go at a slower time....could make a difference.
Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I use the handle here that I use for Pokerstars, the local casino competitions and Vegas. Yea, no, totally understand the walking away for all the reasons you mentioned.
I do merchandising and mystery shopping the various clients and vendors in Costco and Sam's so I know the busy and not so busy times. Sunday afternoons are just awesome for tastings, you could actually get full if you make two rounds, and I do!! I've done the Demos for small start ups/product line expansions in there and I've done the mystery shops for my vendor competition, it's a trip.

I think there's a positive takeaway for me in this situation. I've made a policy change as to how I work this side hustle (i.e. mystery shopping) going forward. From now on I'm not going to try for the "lucrative" shops that involve some personal money of mine tied up for some perk in return such as this warehouse club membership - I'm going to go for the easier lower end ones such as cell phone shops that pay cash and don't require any personal money tied up. In this case should anything go wrong it's really not a big deal and taking a shop knowing that fact up front is just so much more pleasant for me. YMMV here and that's cool - if anything, I am less competition for higher end shoppers in Metro Phoenix and this can only be good news as the Phoenix area is drowning in shoppers anyway. So - positive takeaway - lower end easier shops paying cash only. Though to be honest I can think of two companies I work for that have f and b shops that are of fast casual places and that pay for the report PLUS a reimbursed meal - in these two cases I will make an exception. Otherwise, lesson learned - but i get this that is a personal lesson and a personal preference as to how I carry out mystery shopping - once again, your mileage gets to vary and that's cool. Just wanted to inject something positive into this.
If I can't meet the requirement for an address and the entire storefront, I'll usually take a photo of each and submit both. It's not that hard to do that if they allow more than one photo to upload or a space for extras (while noting that in the notes). I'd recommend to always error on the side of taking way too many photos and submitting and explaining all that you can. Squireparty, that's the good thing about mystery shopping. You can take the shops that work for you.
Hi everyone! Just wanted to add a note on this thread. I really enjoy working with Seelevel - I have done so many shops for them and have always done a great job and they seem to love me doing their shops.

Well, here's another update. I did respond to the client's questioning and tried to answer the best I could. I also received an email from the scheduler stating that they did not understand why I would walk away from the shop and that I would be paid both the $20 shop fee and the reimbursement for the warehouse club membership. As of this moment the shop remains completed but not received - it did have received status before the client raised issues. I hope for the best but will believe I will receive payment when I receive it - that's the best I can drum up for this situation.

That all said, however, I am going to fess up to a move I made that was not especially bright. Given that at the moment I still have membership to this warehouse chain, I accepted another shop for this chain due on the 28th.....and I'm thinking that was not bright on my part so if anyone else is thinking so, I will give you that here and now. We'll see how this works out but my instinct (and I've been wrong before with my instincts, I most certainly have) is that this is not going to end well. In the sense of the original shop in question being rejected, I mean. We'll see.
This is just making it more mysterious. I can't imagine how anyone can go wrong with this shop. These are very clear as to what needs to be done AND the report is available ahead of time if the guidelines are not clear in any way. What did they ask you that you wouldn't know?
