A question about ACL...

Hi everybody. I had a question about when ACL posts their new shops. Is there a certain time of day I should be checking in order to have more of a chance to snag the good shops before they are all taken? I have done 4 shops with them so far and have 2 more scheduled for September so far, but the ones I have done so far are the ones that have kind of been lingering for a while. Thanks!

Membership is free. Simply choose your username, type in your email address, and choose a password. You immediately get full access to the forum.

Tell your scheduler to let you know when he/she is going to be preassigning. Most schedulers there are fantastic and will work with you.

I have a question about A Closer Look as well, so I'm borrowing your thread.

Did they get rid of the regional person? I had a scheduler who was all friendly and provided a bio and all that saying they were handling this particular territory, but that all has seemed to go away now and it's only been a few months. Is the new-old "territory scheduler" thing a thing of the past? If so, what the heck is going on there? They seem to be having some major communication issues.

I dunno. I sent them an email trying to figure out what scheduler I needed to contact for a particular shop and crickets for days.

Their schedulers are now based on individual states, not regions.

AND, some of their schedulers have PART of a state, but not ALL of that state. So, in the DMV area I think that I am dealing with 4 or 5 schedulers!

I am so tired of cherry picking by ACL. It used to be you could take a shop immediately. Now you are at the mercy of cherry picking- often the scheduler holds the shop you want for ransom to do a less favored shop.
I have shopped with them for so long- and I used to love the company. Now I am just tired each month of getting none or one of what I want. I get those emails about being a top shopper for them - so it is not that I am not worthy. It is just that they moved from rewarding the top shops based on your longevity and skill - to whomever is willing to do the crap.

I had to laugh...they had a pizza shop that doesn't pay well and is hard to fill and were offering a crappy pizza place as an incentive if you do both...the one that's hard to fill tastes pretty good but is a PITA to do, but the other one has yucky pizza (at least in my area). How is that supposed to make me want to do the PITA shop?

There must be a shortage of shoppers in my area. I just say, "No, I do not do pizza shops," or "No, I will not drive that far for reimbursement only." And, I continue to get offers for shops that I want from them. Maybe it is that we have nicer schedulers; there seem to be 4-5 that cover the DMV area PLUS others who are doing special test projects who we never hear from otherwise. (Eye exam and new Rx reimbursed, plus fee this month, for a new prospective client. Getting the Rx is covered;NOT getting it filled!)

Oh, I don't have any problem getting shops that I want to do or any promo shops that pop up in my area, it's just that I get the conditional offers as well and that one in particular was funny. I too got the eye exam offer but I don't wear prescription glasses. Yet.

As far as posting days, they used to post the date they would be adding shops on their main webpage. Do they no longer do that? (I deactivated my account a few months ago to stop the influx of emails so I haven't logged in recently)

I don't have any problems with them. My father loves the main pizza client they have so I do several of them per month and because of that any time I ask for another client visit I usually get it because I do so many of the pizza places - and those shops are now super easy....as many as I have done.
