Coyle shoppers

Anybody do restaurant shops for Coyle? I signed up for one and then once I saw the guidelines I said "what did I get myself into?" It seems like they want to know every single movement by every single person from the minute you walk in until the minute you walk out. I'm an experienced shopper (over 20 years) and I've never seen such extensive requirements. From what I saw it looked like the report would take me 2 hours to fill out. In my opinion, not worth it just for a reimbursement of a meal. What's your experience been?

That's about right. If the place has really good food and it's somewhere you wanted to go but is not a place where you would normally drop that much money on a meal, it's worth it. Also, if you do restaurant shops it helps build up your cred so you can do their hotel and resort shops.
Hi, I shop for Coyle. Yes, you need to capture everything and mirror their sample document perfectly or you won't get reimbursed. I consider myself efficient and it takes me 1.5-2 hours to write a high end restaurant report. Usually takes 30 minutes of prep before the shop to study the requirements. Don't go into this without a plan. Study all their materials. Don't miss the time of ANYTHING. You will get a perfect score if you just follow their guidelines.

I'm like you. Been doing this for about 20 years. I do a ton of shops every year. I signed up for Coyle then saw all their reports entail. I have been signed up with them for about 10 years and have never done a report and doubt I ever will. Just doesn't look worth it.
Hmm, they have an Italian shop here now but, I'm not sure I have that much time to invest.
The fast-casual chicken place they have isn't too bad. I did sign up for a hotel bar once, then I saw the requirements. if it was the only thing I was doing all day...maybe. I had a lot of other things that day that paid better for the time though, so the bar shop flew away. Not event sorry the more I look at the requirements. @_@
