Market Force

Dear Market Force,

I love you.

Let me count the ways: You have lots of shops in my area. Your reports are easy. And most importantly, on days like today when things go sideways, I can reschedule my shops with you rather than risk not getting them done.

I know that Market Force has broken up with some of you, but hopefully that time is a long time away for me.

I hear ya, I Love MarketForce also,
they call and I run, Love the reports short sweet and to the point.
And the reschedule in emergencies has saved me too.
I hope to continue my run with them for a long while too!

Shopping Southern Georgia, Valdosta, Waycross, Quitman, Thomasville and North Central Florida I-10 & I-75.
Yep, based on what I've seen it happens after about two years. So I'll be prepared for it when it happens, but for now - I'm so grateful I could reschedule yesterday.

My newest lesson learned: before setting up a day of shops, check the weather forecast.
Words of comfort for you: I have been with MF since they were under the name Shop-n- Chek, I don't know how long that's been but I'll take a wild guess and say 14 years? Never been deactivated.

Me too. Since 1999

I figured there had to be some folks that have been with them long term. Glad to hear it!
I think it's key to not do too many shops for them each month. I think I remember people who got deactivated were doing a ton of shops for them each month and then got the axe.
I'm glad to hear someone being upbeat about the good things about Market Force. I think the reason MF gets so much bad publicity about deactivation is that people do love it and those who are deactivated are so disappointed and so angry that they post repeatedly venting their anger. It's like a bad teenage breakup to them. Most people might get deactivated from companies and think "oh, well, no biggie....." but when deactivated from MF, because it's so easy to work with and there are so many available jobs for self-schedule, well, THAT is a big deal.

Yep, I see the good things, too, and I've worked for them since 2010 with no deactivation. Two family members have worked for them longer than me.

I am laughing so hard right now!

Didn't want to make a new thread. Anyone have issues resetting their password? I've tried multiple times on Chrome and Firefox. I get the reset link and enter my info, but then I get stuck on the screen that asks to enter my login only.

How many is too many?
Better yet, don't write in the same form each time. For example, for the same client:

Q: Did you call ahead to verify the address and hours
Shop #1 A: I was able to verify the address and hours of operation
Shop #2 A: I found out they are open for business and for the date and time of the shop
Shop #3 A: I verified they are open, their address and hours open for business

Otherwise, if you phrase every or every other shop differently it makes them look awesome because it looks like they have 3 different shoppers, from the above answers, instead of one.

That's my theory anyway and I do a TON of shops for them.

Good question, since I haven't been deactivated I can't really answer. I personally don't do more than 10 per month (if that) currently. Looking back, I think the most I ever did for them in a month was maybe 20? But that's not to say you couldn't do 30 or even more, I just don't know the answer. Ask someone who got deactivated (not someone who got deactivated for cancelling or flaking on shops or submitting late reports, etc.).

I got removed from being able to perform shops for one of Market Force's service station clients after doing about 30 service station shops a month for several months (only one inquiry, no late shops, no errors). Market Force let me continue with their other clients for a few years. I was doing nearly 60 shops a month while I was able to do the service station shops and still did at least 30/month after that option was removed. When the big fast food client contract ended, my shops dropped to 10-20/month. I got axed a couple of months ago, after working about 3 years (1000+ shops) for Market Force.

I understand that there is some top secret algorithm Market Force uses to evaluate their shoppers, but I feel fairly confident that the key factor in those algorithms is the total number of errors and the frequency of those errors with respect to time, not with respect to the total number of shops. If you do a lot of shops in a short period of time, you are more likely to have shops with errors. I am aware of 3 errors I made in shops over those 3 years. While 3 errors in 1000 shops isn't a lot, 3 errors in 3 years (averaging one per year) might have been a little too much.

I would recommend trying to stay under 20 shops/month. Most importantly, if you do get notified of a shopper error, be extra vigilant when performing shops, entering the reports, and especially when proofreading your reports to make sure that you don't make another error!

I realize that this is just an example but just to be clear, that particular question doesn't need to be answered at all. If I am relatively certain from past experience or other knowledge that the location will be open, I do not call ahead and I answer no to the question. I've never had a problem doing so. This saves some time in doing the shop and reporting on it.

I'm curious how you all find very many Marketforce jobs for more than $9.00. I just got an exciting email from them about a fee raise at a home improvement store - up to $7.50!! Really? And a cell phone store for $8.50. I know that store well as a customer and the wait is always ugly.

I grab bonused ones when I can, (did 3 last week) but driving from location to location earning $7.50 for a shop isn't worth it.
I found after doing them at base fee for a while, I started getting calls with bonus offers. It probably depends on how many other shoppers they have in your area, but keep plugging away. Now I would never take a shop at the base fee!
The majority of the MF shops I do are on the way home from my regular job, so isn't that much in gas for me. This weekend was different in that I had created a local route so all together it was worth it.

Did you get a ring yet? smiling smiley
A couple of days ago I got a call from MF asking if I could do a shop for them. A few hrs later, I called them back and left a message. About 4 hours later I got another call from another MF number but they did not leave a message. The first person did not call me back.

I wasn't able to answer the phone at the time because I was working . The two days they wanted it done I was available. I guess they got the shop filled. May be next time they can catch me.

I also love working for Market Force smiling smiley

I was deactivated from Market Force after I took a short break from shopping with them, I sent an email to customer service about it, and my account was easily reestablished. No problem!
I second that! I love Marketforce also!

I am a huge fan of Market Force. I've been with them for about five years now and have never been deactivated. I've been given breaks from certain clients here and there, but I understand the reasoning behind that and accept it. I enjoy their grocery, burger and gas station shops, which fill my pantry, tummy and gas tank with enjoyable effort on my part. I just got a certificate from them thanking me for my 500th shop. Thank YOU, Market Force! You gave me my very first mystery shop and I have never looked back!
I shopped with MF a lot when I first started out, but found they just don't pay enough, $10 for a 2 hr audit, come on.
