CS scheduler issues on a shop

I have been performing Shops for CS for about 8 years now. I’ve performed a specific shop with them numerous times in the past. It popped up again yesterday and I applied for it. On the “When can you perform this shop?” question on the application, I noted “I am able to perform it today, Saturday September 23.” I was immediately accepted to the shop within 1 hour of applying.

Now, I admit, I misread the dates when I originally applied but I posted the only date I could perform it. I went on and performed my shop yesterday evening. As I opened the shop to submit my report, it stated that I could not submit until Sunday, September 24. I was confused, so I emailed the scheduler, L, directly from my shop. She responded with exactly this:
“What shop is it?
I work for 5 different companies”
I immediately responded with the answer and didn’t hear back until 12 hours later (the next day, this morning). This was her second email exactly:
“That is because the start date was 9/24.
That shop does not start until this week.”
I told her I realized that it said that after I performed it but that I applied to perform it Saturday September 23. I asked if she could adjust the date to the date I applied for and this is the response I received exactly as is:
“These are weekly shops and last week was already done and Sat is part of last week. I'm sorry”
I asked her who assigned the shop to me when I clearly applied for Saturday Sept 23 and asked for her to check the proof of my application. This is the next response I received:
“We have a lot of shoppers who don’t realize the “date” when requesting shops…..they will say Saturday and have a “date” that is wrong.
That is why the system is set up with “do not shop before” dates and “due dates”....”

I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism with this assigner. I have been a great shopper with this company and when I have issues with other companies, they work with me to solve the problem. I haven’t received an actual apology that I wasn’t assigned the date I applied for. If even I received an email BEFORE being assigned stating that the date that I applied for wasn’t available before they assigned me, than I would’ve had the chance to redo it. Now I’m out my money - literally the first time this has ever happened in my 8 years of mystery shopping and she’s not willing to work with my on this issue. I’ve never had issues with them in the past and have a 10/10 rating.

I haven’t even had to post on this forum for YEARS because I’ve never had issues like this before. My email attempts to her aren’t making a difference, therefore I chose to write this in hopes that someone has a solution.
Thanks in advance,

You owe the scheduler an spology. You asked fot a shop, gave a date, snd got assigned. You made a mistake. Apologize, then get over it.
Sounds like you've been shopping for a long time so I'm confused as to why you didn't verify all dates before assigning the shop to yourself. I feel for you because I've done the same thing in the past and lost out on the payments. You can be sure I check all dates, times etc before hitting that Assign button now. I hope they work with you but I wouldn't count on it. Live n Learn.

im very disappointed with the lack of professionalism with this mser. op clearly made date mistake but instead of owning it she places blame on scheduler or editor. i think the email responses were more than professional & showed great patience. many people wouldve have been one & done w/replying to u. give it up & move on.
I have been an independent contractor for many years as well, and if I mess up, I own it and lose out.

You messed up. Own it.
roflwofl, different shoppers have different reasons for participating in the forum. From previous posts it is apparent the OP's primary interest is complaining when she does something wrong and then accusing MSCs, schedulers and editors of not being professional. The name sounded familiar so I read an older thread where the OP complained of being docked on an audio shop which should have been outright rejected. The entire story is actually on two different threads. They are quite the cautionary tale.

Don't waste time responding to this OP. NotSo posts whenever she makes a mistake and doesn't get paid and she doesn't want to hear anybody else's solutions. If you have time on your hands, read her past posts for some real examples of lack of professionalism on the part of a mystery shopper.
I have had an issue where I shops end date would be - say - 9/27 (today) and I would apply stating "I can help out with this shop on the 27th, the last due date. I'll be in the area that day from 12PM to 8PM that day" and then I don't get assigned...And it seems to disappear from the boards or something... so I wake up on the 30th and see someone has given me the shop. Now, that is frustrating. -_-

I"ve had a shop that says scheduled for the 3rd day on the month and on the 2nd i get a personallized email that says i'm late, where's the report?
mc88 & 7star have u considered that scheduler or msc headquarters or 3rd party scheduler is in different time zone than u. when i apply for tight deadline shop i always put what state or time zone im in. it doesnt guarantee right results but it can help.
