no response to application?

I haven't seen a lot of discussion about Consumer Insight here. They recently posted quite a few jobs, and I have applied for a few, but I haven't gotten ANY response - not even a rejection. It just sits there past the due date. I know i'm not supposed to ask the scheduler so I was just curious if anyone else was seeing this.

You should ask the scheduler. I've seen the warning messages that say not to ask about a shop, ignore it! Ask!
I just got an aproval but it seems quite sketchy. Im curious to hear some success stories about them.
Why does it seem sketchy? They are a company, they offer work. You got approved. Sign up for one of their jobs and complete it. Get paid.
Ok. I'll admit. I'm fairly new to this. The first assignment is to deposit a check they send into my account, (overr 2k) then shop a gap ($50), then purchase some itune gift cards and send pics of the cards revealing the codes on them. Keep $300 for myself. Money laundering? Oh... the grammar is terrible in the communications also.

Ask yourself these questions.

1. How many times have you worked for a company and gotten paid in advance?
2. Do you have some sort of advanced degree or decades of experience qualifying you to command $150 to $300 per hour?
3. If a company is stupid enough to send $2,000 to a perfect stranger, how often would that backfire on them?

Of course the check is bogus. Of course the check will bounce. Of course you will be out any money you send away along with all the bank fees.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

LMAOOOOO! EXACTLY! For these reasons I was wondering why people were antsy about getting "accepted" from this company.
Here is what you need to understand about that. There is a legitimate MSC named The Consumer Insight. For some time now the scam artists have been using the names of real mystery shopping companies. If the potential victim does just a little research they will probably find mystery shopping is a real business and/or just enough information to verify the company actually exists. If they stop there, they are lulled into believing the scam is real.

The OP is asking a question about the real Consumer Insight, not the scam.

Just to add my 2 cents worth, the real Consumer Insight is a great company with fast pay and nice staff. I haven't done a shop for them in a while. They had a large client a couple of years ago and I did a lot. If they get another interesting client, I'll do a bunch with them again.

That said, Lisa put it great. Anybody who believes some stranger will offer them $150+ an hour and pay them in advance is not thinking straight.
I have a bridge that I will sell to you for pennies on the dollar or how about some ocean front property in Arkansas?
