Email from Market Force?

Has anyone received an email like this from Market Force?

Dear xxx@xxx.com, We have a secret shopper evaluation in your area
Your wages would be $300 for any task completed

Looks like a possible scam to me.

Market Force is a reputable company but that email sounds fake. Emails from them tend to come from Helpdesk@ Market Force or show up as Market Force Help Desk and Market Force Information in the subject/sender area. They also send everything from @marketforce dot com or Marketforceshopper dot com and a few other reputable and trusted endings.

They usually refer to things as payment, shop fee, shoppers pay, shoppers incentive, etc. as opposed to waged since we're not employees. I'm not saying some companies don't call them wages, just most have other terms

Market Force offering $300, that's a glaring warning sign in itself. I'd be very leery.

Just the words evaluation and WAGES makes me know it is a scam. $300 oh, oh, I'll take it!

And obvious it isn't a one off bonus situation because it states "any task completed."

mf pays closer to $3 than $300.

I occassionally get a 4 gas station, rental, beef sandwich and cell 1.25 hrs drive, 6 hrs total just under $350 incl. reimb

Thank you for your replies. I was checking my email before I was properly caffeinated this morning. The email came from adevendra@columbus.k12.oh.us and was sent to my personal email not the one I use for shops.
I have received follow up emails from addresses k12 in my personal inbox. The shops were for a different MSC. Interesting.
Deleting and moving on.

Sounds like a MSC(s)/users got hacked. I wonder what the frequent maintenance is about ?

I agree, 7star. It was sent to the email address I used when I first signed up with MSCs (not sure if Market Force was one), but quickly created an account just for shopping when I saw how many emails I was getting.

Good to know this is a possible scam. Delwting and moving on
