North Fork Online Comparison Shop Limit

After accepting this shop earlier this month they sent an FAQ saying “You can only be assigned to 3 of these shops at a time. If you attempt to self-assign to more than 3, you will receive a citation and be disqualified from these shops.” Does that mean you can only have 3 of those shops open and assigned to do at a time? Or that you can only do 3 in a whole month? I’ve done 3 and submitted them in but they keep sending more emails and I’d like to do more.

Well for me it only let me sign up for 2 at a time, and it won't even allow me to try to sign up for more than that anyway (it blocked out additional dates).
I would email. I've emailed when they are blacked out and got them anyway. I'm not sure why or what was wrong because all I would get in turn was an "Accepted" email with the link.
Anyone else think the new version this month with the screen shots are much more time consuming?
This month seems to take a little bit longer just because sometimes I can’t come up with different search phrases! I feel bad when I can’t find a match for most of them because the store probably has them but without outright writing the brand name, they don’t show up on the first page.

I thought you could use the brand name?
I’m not really sure. The guidelines talk about not using the exact title of the product. I’ve done one assignment where I only used the brand name in my 5th search so that I could find the products and they accepted it.
I guess I'll find out if it gets kicked back to me. I am not taking any more of these. Just not worth the current pay. Normally I like them.

It is rather time consuming, I have 1 more to do tomorrow and I'm thinking that's enough for now.
I did my second today. I can't self-assign because they are not anywhere near my location and Sassie won't find them for me. I sent a thank you email to the scheduler last night. She assigned me another for today. I'd love it if she assigned me another one.Today was much faster. I don't use the brand name until the 4th or 5th search. My justification for the early searches which may contain a word in the name of the product is that I, the average customer, DO know what I'm looking for by name.

I got hit with just one allowed for now. It said they have fraud alerts when out of your zip code. :/ I guess I'll submit this one and email the scheduler because I would like to sit around and do a few of these during my lunch hour and before/after work.

Wonder, MountainCacher88, if these were different shops as I didn't have to make a purchase. Just compare two big store website pages.
That's what I'm doing. I didn't make any purchases. Maybe you misunderstood me? When I self-assigned one in New Jersey (I live in KY) it said I could only self assign a single shop since it appears I assigned something outside of my zipcode. It also said that due to the distance, a fraud alert would automatically be raised to ensure quality and integrity *shrugs* I guess they don't expect someone from 1,000 miles away to go hunting for shops to do online? When I can, I like to grab a few at-home style shops, even if I have to hear my good ole WV accent on record. I wrote the scheduler to see if I could get another one assigned to me and to let them know I'm definitely not up to anything funny tongue sticking out smiley Just browsing zip codes to find some work.

Did one last month and thought it was too much work. Thanks to this and one other thread for revealing how difficult the new requirements are.

The fraud alert is okay to do the shop. The scheduler told me shoppers from all over the country do them out of their area. She wasn't aware of the fraud alert thing, but I've done several of the old style ones that were clearly out of my range and had the fraud alert but had no problem submitting and getting paid.

These new ones are not for me. Took wayyy too much time for the fee. I only did one. There must be a better way, but I can't be bothered.

The fun thing about the new ones -- the Amazon item actually changes from the time you do the search and the editor looks at them and the editor doesn't bother to look at the Amazon screen shot.

I had to redo two items that changed. One changed from refurbished to new (and the screen shot clearly showed that), and one changed from iron black to silver chrome (making no exact match possible).

I made the corrections, but also made the protest. And they don't seem to mind if you go through all 5 search terms and don't find an exact match.
I believe all of my things had an exact match but it was all DVDs and Video Games. 0_o maybe the next one won't be as easy.

Was notified today that one of my comparisons had a problem. Would I please correct the URL of the (you guessed it) DVD of a certain movie. Well, in the time between my submitting the report and the time the reviewer got it, Walmart dropped the item. The URL has been reassigned and the item number erased from their system. THANG DOG for screen shots! I've asked how they'd like me to handle the edit in light of this new information but haven't heard anything else from them. Edited to add: Editor got back to me. She changed the whole section to "No exact match." and I will be getting paid.

I was wondering if all of your comparison shops had been approved. I did 3 of these online comparison shops back on October 13th and now only 1 is listed as "Received" the other 2 still just say "Completed".
Mine have generally taken awhile to switch to received. I have two still listed as complete from the 25th and 26th and so they haven’t been accepted. The ones before that have all been accepted and even one after, on the 27th was accepted.
I did one yesterday and today they asked me to redo an item because they do not believe the price for it. It is obviously a mistake on the site (like 100 times what the price should be) but my job is just to report the price listed. It shows what the price is in the screen shot and it is the only one of that item available. I have been given 12 hours to fix this "mistake". How can I fix a price that is wrong on the site in 12 hours? I have emailed them back but I worry that they will not get back to me in time so I will end up not getting paid. Sigh

Based on the guidelines that I read this morning, this would be a good shop for a homebound person who is ok with making $5 an hour.

That is exactly what I did. The price on the site is obviously a mistake. There is nothing I can do about that.
