It's not that. It's because they're booked on the scheduler's points. That's how the company makes money. Your 50% is their fee. It's win-win-win. The airline isn't out anything but a seat, the company gets paid, and you get half off your ticket for about an hour's worth of work. Clever set up.
I hear that the company is getting flack from their stockholders for using a Canadian company, though.
