No I’m not saying that you’re not good at negotiating. I’m saying that Maritz appears to be totally random when it comes to who sees incentives. We both have excellent track records yet I can get a tiny incentive to go to your area and you can’t? Do they want these done or not?
Hmmm, what I remember about any type of computer programming and good sized companies is this:
There is an algorithm that is typically put into place, that dictates how certain items appear. For this, it could be shopper rating, length of time in working with the company, shopper experience with the particular shop, how they accept incentives, etc. All of that information could be inputted by information received from the shopper, through their reports submitted, the scheduler, editor, etc. It can be so extensive that it could appear to be "random", but it would not be.
What I do know is that I have never heard of a program or company that would take the time to go into their program to isolate a particular shopper. There isn't the manpower or money to justify something like that.
I'm assuming that when we call in and talk to someone there, the reason they ask for our Shopper ID is to view our rating and historical data along with any comments to that effect.
What I do know (have been told) is that they (the MSC schedulers) will call their best shoppers to alert them of available shops that are bonused and can be self-assigned.
And why wouldn't they? They need the shop done, why would they call their newbies or flakes?
