bonused jancyn shops?

I received 9 emails last night from Jancyn that all said the same thing. "$5 BONUS Retail Customer Service Shop - Easy Report!" There were no specifics in the email about which shops they were. It just directed me to log in to my account and sign up. So I went to my account and clicked on available shops, but none of them (which are due next week) say anything about a bonus. They just offer the usual amount. There are exactly 9 shops available in my area. So I'm wondering, were all the bonused shops snapped up already? Are they available but the bonus is not showing? Is this $5 bonus built in to the usual fee (so the email is really a lie)?

I have sent an email to the scheduler about this but I have not received an answer yet. I'm fairly new to Jancyn so I'm wondering if anyone knows how they usually work bonus wise.

I think that the bonus is on the form you submit. I know that is how Customer Perspectives always added in the bonuses. Jancyn is now part of CP.

Definitely bonused - all the November retail shops still posted in my area. Go the the instructions and the bonus is listed under Additional Information. Here's an example:

"Additional Information

Notes: BONUS! $5 bonus on this assignment, for a total of $21. Most shoppers are in the location less than one hour and the report itself takes about 5 minutes. First timer?? This is super easy and we will help you every step of the way!! Questions?? Contact sue@jancyn.com!"

Maybe it's a test - it would be a good way to see which shoppers pay attention and read and which just email ... or jump to the conclusion it's a lie and post the company's name on an internet forum asking "is this a lie?"
I received the same, and separate emails for each job (annoying). The normal price is 14.00, the bonus is added on to certain locations, not all. My locations with bonus are not where I go so, I ignore them and take the ones I usually do with no bonus...sad smiley

I did one of these. It took me an hour and 45 minutes to look at each tag. I cannot imagine how anyone can look at each tag and all else there is to do in a half an hour which is about what the pay is worth. People must just be looking at the garments label. I did a brand new store and there was about 15%-20% of the clothing on the wrong rack and I got to keep track of the numbers also.

You must be talking about the sizing checks.... I don't touch those as "counting" can get out of control...

However, the pure customer service shops are easy and can be done entirely on your smart phone as they don't really have a narrative - just a few sentences here and there for things like employee descriptions or to clarify a "no" answer. They discourage long narratives. I've done quite a few. The initial part of the shop can be done in 15-20 minutes. The second part is a return, which takes two minutes plus however long you have two wait in line -which is rarely more than three minutes. Literally, I do the report before leaving the parking lot - most of it between the time I make the purchase and do the return. The entire process, including writing the report, typically takes less than thirty minutes. Unless they are bonused, I don't go out-of-my way for them. However, If I am already next to one doing other shops, snatch it up.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Awww, I haven't seen the customer service ones. They must get taken right away here. I don't think that company has any sort of rotation for any of those retail stores. I'll catch one one of these days!
I do only the retail P/R shops that are easy. I believe that is what MFJohnson is talking about. I refuse to do any audits, especially in this store where merchandise is all over the place, setup for failure.

The ones I was talking about are the Customer Service shops which I've done a few and they are easy. I've also done one at another retail store (though I think is related to the customer service only store) that is an audit but only to check for security devices. That was also a breeze. One of the odder things is that only some of the ones with the same due dates and same scheduler are bonused. I haven't figured out why some are and some aren't but next week is going to be hectic with family coming in so I'm sticking with ones close to me and bonused.

sassymmmm, I noticed that also today. It's irritating having click on each shop to see which jobs are bonused. I don't usually bother searching but my schedule has been fairly light and most of the jobs were bonused.

Wow you must have been there for months.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I had a merchandising project next door that paid $50 and it took about an hour. So, I thought I would go ahead and take the assignment as she called me to do the project when I was about done. They paid $25.00 and this was not with Jancyn, it was with a different company but the same guidelines as Jancyn except without any pictures. It was just a couple of weeks ago. There were not enough items one of the, what, 5 categories so I was supposed to use a backup category. There were not enough items in that category plus the backup category to total 125 items. I called them and I guess they don't answer their phone for their lunch hour. I was outta there by the time I went ahead and counted in a whole different category and submitted the report by the time they called me back.
Try logging in to your web account and choosing the specific job you are interested in. Once the screen opens, scroll down just a little and you will see "Additional Information." This is where the bonus amount is located. The bonus (a.k.a. revised fee) does not appear on the initial listing, It only appears inside the solicitation once you click on it.

I just read through the guidelines for one of these shops. I'm glad you forewarned us about this. For $16 this is CRAZY. It's only 2 dollars more than their regular customer service shops before bonus and less than the bounsed ones. They look and sound like they're infinitely more trouble. They've got one in my area that's due by tomorrow and I don't think I would take it for $50, let alone $16. This forum is great for help in spotting the 100 foot pole shops.

As far as I know when your scheduler offers the shop, the bonus is mentioned in the email, than the bonus is on the shop form. I think some of the bonus shops are back logged in some locations that is why there is a bonus on some, but not on all.
Post removed as it breached the Forum guideline which states, "Do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies". Additionally, it is usually an ICA violation to name both the MSC and client. - Mod
And don't the store's employees blame the customers for misplacing items and blame corporate for not providing enough shift-hours anyway. I don't really know what the point is. I've learned how to ignore the snotty looks I get when mystery shopping so the fact that they could tell who I was and what I was doing 5 minutes in to my 1 hour 45 jaunt into the tag dungeon didn't concern me.
Dandydew you named the client in your post which is against the rules. You need to edit it immediately.
