Computer repair shops

I've seen these posted before many times, but I've never been in need. I'M IN NEED NOW. My desktop has been taken over and I need to take it somewhere to be fixed. I can't even run my virus software. It has removed MS Office from my computer even. Anyway, does anyone remember the MSC that offers these. I don't care who the client is...just need the MSC name. Help!!

I did one for Jacyn and never again.....the guy couldn't fix my sticky keys. They give you an hour at $99.00, after that (and it always takes longer), you pay top dollar.I fought like H__ to not pay the balance, and won, it still wasn't fixed. I have a laptop place which is so much cheaper, you've been fore warned.

Live consciously....
I paid for the same service on my Toshiba Laptop with my cat got on my keyboard while I was out. He was not able to fix it and I still ended up buying another computer. If you do one of these shops remember a couple of things. One, he probably won't be able to fix anything that's broken or malfunctioning by remote access. Two, you are paying someone to put an antivirus on your computer and run it, (you can do this yourself). If you catch a virus and cannot operate your computer at all, guess what? You will probably have to have someone, like at Best Buy's Geek Squad, uninstall your motherboard and retrieve your files from another device. Why pay twice? Even if you get the money back for the shop you will have to wait for that part of your money, and still be out the cost of fixing it.
Points taken! I'll take it in to Best Buy. Unfortunately, while I have McAfee virus protection, as well as Spy Tracker.....I can open up McAfee, but it won't let me run a scan. I'm scared to take it anywhere because of all the information I have on it regarding MS. I can pull most of it off before taking it in, but I would have to wipe out all my shortcuts to the MSC websites as well. Who knows what these guys look at on our computers when they have them in their hands.
