Service Sense - Issue Resolved

I ask the above question as I did a mystery shop for them yesterday of a burger place. This MSC gives you a generous 24 hours to submit your report....so I sat down awhile ago to input said report only to find that I am unable to access their site to input my report. I get a screen that says Service Unavailable, and under this it says HTTP Error 503 Service Unavailable. Hmmmmm......I am no tech expert. Does this mean the company is gone with the wind (minus any civil war drama lol) or does this mean that there is some glitch with their web page? Just thought I'd ask here if anyone knows....thanks for any response. And if the company has shut down, it's no great crisis.....the burger and tempura green beans I had yesterday were awesome!

I would suggest emailing the scheduler you worked with to let them know what is going on (website issue, can’t submit report). It sounds like a website issue.

Hi Megs7521....I did just that and you are right, it is a website issue on their part and they are not out of business. Good to know as this burger shop pays very well for this kind of shop and I do enjoy it when I can get it. Thanks for your reply!

Not sure what you meant. I just logged in to their Sassie site with no problems.

I just attempted to log in and received the same Service Unavailable message I first posted about.....hmmmmm.....don't know what to make of this. I've never had any issues with this MSC so i just don't know, and I don't have the tech expertise to ponder what the issue could be. Whatever.....if i can't input this shop the burger and tempura beans I had yesterday were awesome and were under $8.....it's not like the world has ended.
Just email the scheduler again and tell her you can't submit it because of the website issues. I am sure since they are aware of it and you have remained in contact you will be able to submit it past the deadline when you can finally access the website. But, if others are able to login, I wonder why you still can't? Did you try rebooting your computer or perhaps trying a different browser?
I haven't done the burger place for them for ages, and heard the burger place was sold with only the original one kept by previous owner. That was the only job I ever saw with Service Sense.....worry some if they scheduled it with you.....I'm not 100%, but pretty sure they'r no longer shopped.

So I was just able to log in with no problems. You might be having some computer difficulties on your end. Try refreshing, rebooting, using a different browser, clearing cookies, etc.

Irene

The burger place I have done many times recently is still shopped by them. Not sure if you are referring to a different burger chain. The one they have now listed (I did an extended area search) is mostly in California and was once rated as the best burger in America. I like their tri tip sandwiches and other items on the menu as well.
I just logged on with no problem. They have a number of clients that I have shopped for them. They also have different clients by region. They just recently went modern under Sassie, before that assignments were offered only by email then reported on their portal.

For a chain, yes, it's the best chain burger in America IMO.

Not all Sassie company websites are down. Customer Impact and Service Sleuth are working just fine.
It really is amazing to jump to the conclusion that a firm may have gone out of business based solely on an unavailable website. OP, did you bother to e-mail the company, telephone it, research any public records? Yes, firms fail. But you have pointed to nothing to suggest that Service Sense did or even might have. Which is odd from a MSer. Really, what firm would want to engage the services of those so quickly to conclude something based on one really little scrap of data?

I did a burger for them this week, no problems. The competition for these shops is so fierce you may not be seeing them fast enough?

They started shopping a fish place a few months ago. I was lucky enough to get an inaugural shop, but now I have to wait 120 days before I can do another.

I got an email about the burger shop here in LA just a few days ago...and the fish place too but I am out of rotation for that and their third LA client. I seem to recall the owners saying they would be on vacation and were trying to schedule everything early so that may be why you are not seeing jobs now but perhaps that was a different small msc I work with.

5:06 AM right now here in Phoenix and I still can't access the Service Sense website so as to input my shop.......don't know what to make of this but whatever.....this is totally a new one on me in my sideline as a mystery shopper. Whatever. If it ends out that for whatever reason I'm not able to input my shop and therefore never receive payment or reimburement, life goes on and the burger and tempura beans I had for lunch two days ago on this shop were great.
Have you tried a different browser or any of things JAS suggested? I just registered with the company using Chrome and am negotiating the site right now.

11/22/17 8:50am. ServiceSense.com is down and has been since some time yesterday afternoon. VERIO is the host site and they are working on the issue. Any email that any shopper has received from us via Sassie will have a link leading directly to Sassie, bypassing the use of ServiceSense.com as a portal. Shoppers should use that method to file reports, etc during the outage. Bill - Owner - Partner - ServiceSense

Hi Bill! I tried following your advice. I sent an email to you'all yesterday in regards to this issue and Amy responded very promptly and told me of the outages and that my report would be accepted when I am able to input it. All good there. I did try clicking on the link on Amy's email to me however and I am still getting the Service Unavailable screen - just thought I'd let you know this. Happy Thanksgiving btw.

I've been using Chrome the whole time I've encountered this issue but I will try Firefox right now and this if this makes a difference. Came back to add - nope. Still getting the Service Unavailable message from Firefox. It's not that big a deal, really. Worst case scenario is that I don't get reimbursed and I don't get the $13 payment for the shop and I'm out of some time. I just came back from three weeks in Bangkok and six days in Hong Kong and a very interesting two days in Yangon, Myanmar. Point is that I have had some exposure to Buddhism and working on destressing my life and I've finally learned here - the worst that can happen is that I walk away. At least I've still had the good meal and no real harm has been done.......and my blood pressure has not risen and I have not gotten into that ugly personality so many Americans (and other Westerners, too, to be fair) adopt in a bid to survive. To wind up, this is no big deal, really. I was just asking a question in my original post and was fully ready to calmly walk away with a small loss. Life will not end.

Why don't you do what Bill said and go directly to the Sassie site?

Hello Squireparty.

I’m sorry. ServiceSense.com is still down and has been reported to our Host but for the time being it is out of service.

In the meantime, many others have experienced this and figured out other ways to reach our Sassie portal than via servicesense.com. Clicking on the servicesense.com link in Amy's address isn't any different than any other method you tried to get to servicesense.com.

You can still login to our Sassie site to finish conducting your business by following this link.

If you don't enter the report, which can easily be done now that you have been provided two working links, the MSC has to deal with rescheduling the shop. During Thanksgiving week. One that should have been completed with plenty of time to go through editing so they can get a day off. So yes, it is a big deal and harm is being done by your refusal to use the tools at your disposal.

Ouch....Lisa I know you are a long termer here and I very much believe you mean well and I have witnessed you kindly sharing your knowledge many more times than once but OUCH!!! Yikes! How do I state this in a non-inflammatory manner? I'll try.....not all of us are extremely computer literate.....If the site is up and running I know exactly how to input this shop in a timely manner. Under the current conditions I will try my best but I don't know what the learning curve will be and I need to prep myself mentally to deal with it. Furthermore, I can see why some people opt to leave this forum - it's posts like this - though once again, I'm sure you mean well - that cause people to flee this forum. I have thick skin so all I'll say is OUCH!!! And posts like this really make me want to perma-park my life in SE Asia where my savings will stretch much further than here in the US and I don't have to deal with such due to the stretch of my life savings. To put a positive spin on this....maybe that's the takeaway here? Evaluating a retirement or some other kind of long term legal visa in one of the inexpensive SE Asian countries. All good and once again I mean no offense or harm and I once again believe you mean well - my point is you can't expect everyone to have thick skin.....not with what society overall is like these days. Too many people are worn down to a fried crisp these days. Happy Thanksgiving btw........and I did not mean to offend, just to be honest as I know some folks here are struggling and perhaps some of the lurkers are too and just trying to make a few legal dollars......please let us think of those who are down and hurt here and at least be neutral.......

And here's an update.....I clicked on the link that the MSC rep provided and I am able to access the Service Sense site. I will get the shop in later today. I'm just glad it was easy and there was no learning curve to access the site........thanks for your help, everyone.

Thank You, Bill. I was able to access the site and will get this shop input later today. If there are time constraints as to when today, please PM me to discuss and I'll try my best to arrange things in a way to accommodate everything going on in my life today. Again, Thank You and Happy Thanksgiving.
I was trying to make a point because your problem had nothing to do with a lack of computer literacy. I had provided you a link to access the Sassie site directly and had told you it was working fine before you edited your previous post to include your comments about the shop not being a big deal. You were thinking only in terms of having a nice meal and a small amount of money out of your pocket without taking into consideration the added work and possible missed deadline for the MSC. The thing is, you are not a newbie to this business. You have been mystery shopping long enough to know better.
