Update on Strategic Reflections Pay Policy

I got an email from them on Friday saying the checks for October shops had been mailed out that day. Long time to wait for payment...especially since the biggest part of the check will be a reimbursement for my money that was spent back on October 2nd. Probably will think twice about doing any future shops that require a purchase.

I did 2 big clients for SR and one day Emma told me one of the burger joints would not be having that program anymore. I have not done that client in 11 months. I never checked their site to see if they had more of them but I never get any letters about any work and used to get TONS. I did over 100 of those burger shops. The other client, who had great grilled chicken salads also was eliminated from SR. I used to pull in $200-300 a month just from SR alone.... I have not had a bite ( figuratively of course) in quite some time. tongue sticking out smiley

Here's their number: 866-518-6508. If Emma herself doesn't answer, you can either ask for her by name, or ask for extension 1980. HTH

Edited to correct extension #'s...I had mixed up the 8 and 0....corrected now. Sorry if any confusion from that.

Thanks. I left a message during the holidays that was not returned, but I will try again.
I am waiting for payment for my first and only shop with SR. Silly me, I thought processing checks at the end of December would mean receipt of same by the first week of January. I kept waiting for an email saying they were mailed.

Really, what difference does it make to us when they do their books, print the check, stuff the envelopes, lick the stamps, etc? All we care about is the day checks are mailed.

I would suggest they look into outsourcing the process. When I was involved in sending newsletters to a few thousand people, we found that hiring a mailing house to pick up the newsletters from the printers, fold, label, and apply postage actually cost us less than the previous mailing "parties" the organization held before. This was partly because we no longer had to pay tax on the printing and I think the mailing house saved us money on postage, not to mention pizza for the parties and the time spent on monkey tasks. When everyone heard they no longer had to spend hours folding and labeling, we were heroes!
Out of curiosity, do you allow your MSC's to be human? Humans get behind, then dred getting caught up. I do it myself! on occasion.
I have not received payment yet for my November shop for strategic Reflections, but after reading this I am convinced that it is still early, so no worries.
Try being in my shoes: got the email from BI stating my check was mailed Dec 14th, and I still do not have it!
BM my history says they processed my check on Dec 29th, and I still don't have it yet. Bestmark always sends my checks like clockwork, sometimes before I even expect one so this is unusual.
I was counting on those small checks to get me through the hump between my SSDI on the 3rd and the 15th when my shops start paying out. and all I got was TS is the small payment from the end of dec and Alta 360's, also small check. /these two check's totaled less than a 100! Try shopping on that budget. I had to eliminate all "eat out" shops and limit grocery shops to just 4 (two mf's and 2 ts's, one had a decent bonus). I'm also waiting a small amount (via paypal?) from Confero for a November shop!
Well I also haven't been paid by SR for my November shops but I haven't gotten an email saying I have been yet either. I'm expecting it at the end of the month. And it was 1/3 of my November income, so I hope it arrives as scheduled.
I'm also due a small amount from SR. They have always paid when they say. I am not worried one bit.
I got my check for November shops in the mail today. No problems and no issues with them. They pay as stated.

I got my check from them today (yay) although I never got an email saying it was on its way. It also arrived two weeks before I thought it would, so color me happy. Although it was an initial 45-day wait, now I'm on schedule so I look forward to getting a monthly check now every 30 days.

I wish I could get regular, monthly work from them, so that I, too, could count on a regular monthly check month to month. But they shops that I enjoy doing have a 60 day rotation!! Sometimes they waive it for me when they need a shop done right away. The other shop they have in my area is one that I am not particularly interested in. So I'm left with the one Client, and usually have to wait 60 days! Oh well!
We'll... still no checks a week after Emma said they would be reissued. I will try calling again today, but I lost my voice a few days ago... will keep updating.

Isn't SSDI paid to you out of FICA tax payments because you have told the government that you can't work, it's for total disability?
That is me with a certain Client of North Fork. Great job when I can get it. The ones for SR are easy, quick. And painless to report. I can do a bunch in a day. The rotation is 60 days but there are so many I can do 10-12 different ones each month. They also will waive rotation. I did the same shop 3x in 6 weeks. Have no idea why. It passed with flying colors each time.
According to Emma the checks were, in fact, cashed. The images show that someone else did sign and cash them, so I am out the money.

Unfortunately, this wasn't the only case of missing mail, and we have since moved. Hardly their fault, and thankfully they were small checks.

Thanks to everyone for your assistance.
Uh, if you are saying that a bank (or check-cashing place, supermarket, etc) cashed a check made out to you, you do have recourse with that bank. They obvi did not have proper ID or an account. You have to contact them and find out why they cashed the check and see how you can file a claim.
