Shoppers, Inc payments

Anyone else having issues with payment from Shoppers, Inc? My job log shows that I was payed on December 28 for shops earlier in that month, but I am paid via Paypal, and there has been no activity from them on my account at all. Those were my first shops for this company and I'm afraid I've made a big mistake by doing them.

So.... I contacted the person who scheduled my jobs and was told that they pay by check, not by PayPal. Then why does it ask if PayPal is my preferred payment method and to verify that my email address on record matches my PayPal email address? I sent a screen shot of that information on my profile and replied to her. Confusing much? This are likely my first and last shops if they pay by check, even after putting you through the PayPal hoops!
At least you are getting paid. smiling smiley
If they send the check on time, I wouldn't write them off for that...Even the best MSC's are run by humans and have glitches..... If they have the right shop, they have the right shop and their money is just as green as what other MSC's pay.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
I have worked for them for years. They do pay by check and have always paid by check. My profile says the same thing yours does about selected payment method and "your email address must match your PayPal account." There are only two choices: 1) PayPal or 2) I do not wish to enter payment information at this time.

I am guessing that this is built in to the Sassie platform that they are using, because there are a couple of other Sassie companies who show the same thing but pay by check. I can't remember off-hand which they are. I don't think the Sassie platform gives them any other options than the two shown. They are a good company and I wouldn't write them off because the platform they use doesn't completely conform to the payment method they use.
I have done shops for them and I have gotten paid and the method was by check. I also will say they have been great to work with and the schedulers are great. I dont see why getting paid by check would be a reason to not pick up assignments for them. SMH!
I like them a lot. One of my favorite lunch shops is with them. It's the only one they have in my area, and I pick one up every chance I get.
On a down note I did one of these today and when I went to enter the info tonight, I discovered it was due yesterday sad smiley. I was sure that I had through today. I only got the assignment yesterday. I sent a note to the scheduler, I'm waiting to hear back.

That's fine if they pay by check but it should be written somewhere clearly so contractors won't have questions regarding their payment method.
The good news about my shop is I heard back from the scheduler and I'm fine. It is very frustrating having to wait for a check and having to go to the bother of cashing it. Perhaps some day they will join the 21st century. smiling smiley

They are a smaller MSC, but located in my backyard. They have great reigional shops, and well worth the paper check for me! Schedulers there are always responsive and helpful, and almost always accommodate my ever-changing schedule. Wonderful folks!
I love shoppers inc. Seriously a great company. I also love getting checks in the mail. smiling smiley

I agree!!! I accidentally missed the date on 2 shops lately (SHAME ON ME!!!!) and the scheduler was very quick to change the dates for me. I try very hard not to miss a date, but it happens. sad smiley

I am fortunate to have bank accounts at two national bank (Chase, BMO), one of which has a branch that I can see from my front door of my home. However, most banks now have an app and/or a website that let's you deposit remotely by taking a picture of the front and back of the checks and presto! Deposit is finished and you don't even have to be wearing any clothes! LOL! grinning smiley
