List of hard & easy dining shops

I did a MOD Pizza recently while on the road - it was 5 minutes from my hotel. I also did a Blaze Pizza last year while on the road, and also 5 minutes from my hotel. I found them both to be very similar, and they are easy shops but they don't pay much. My preference is a place here in Georgia called "Your Pie" - same concept and also an easy shop although they recently added a few observations.

Those who are complaining about collecting timing information are just doing it all wrong! While in line, it is more important to concentrate on other observations and not even think about the timing. I start a hidden video app on my phone on my way into the store and don't turn it off until I have my food and have to use it to take pictures. When I get home, I watch the video and get all the timing information to the exact second. It's EASY!!!

You can make healthy choices at any restaurant. You can control your portions at any meal. You can ask for no/low salt when a restaurant meal is being prepared. You always have choices when it comes to your health.

I would say that you can make "Healthier" choices...but there are still big differences between the healthiest FF pizza and most unhealthy salad option at an all-organic restaurant. Then you get into requirements to include soft drinks in some shops and for me, it starts to become a bad deal.
Mariettaguy - where are holding your phone while video taping with the hidden app? What app do you use? Not sure of the legality of doing this in my state due to laws against recording without permission.
Great points Steve! I can order a vegetable sandwich at Five Guys, but I will unhinge my jaw when the fries are in front of me!

I now steer away from all the pizza shops because of the rejection rate, the picture quality they require, and the picky guidelines for what you can order. The first rejection I got was for some very bad and expensive sandwiches that I would have never ordered in the first place. I got to pay for them myself because some of the wrapper was out of the picture.

Not bad advice. I recently got an online pizza shop rejected because the site somehow had my pizza with double toppings. hop got rejected. But I picked up that same shop and with a $10 bonus so doing it again meant I was only out about $7 from the first shop.
I take BJ's required photos in my car, usually my trunk. Then I put the food in a cooler and heat it up when I get home, or later as leftovers.

You are right, we cannot record in the state of CA, or video taping, against the law.

I also do Mod pizza and timings are not difficult, the line is never more than 3 people, very easy job and healthy pizza compared to the talked about one.

Problem is that it is reimbursement only. sad smiley

I'm liking the other "most hated" pizza lately. I got some tips from SoCalDude, I use the app and got a pile of free pizza cards that I sent to my son in college. Plus, now with the automatic fee and occassional bonus, they are really appealing.

I'm doing a Mod Pizza shop that's paying $18--I'm hoping that'll give me something left over after the cost. I've wanted to do one for ages, and finally one got bonused up enough for me to give it a shot. And I'm doing it on my way home from an out-of-town trip, so I'm not making a half-hour round trip just for that....

Hopefully I won't screw it up!

I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

Curious about this shop.
I see $12 payment and $18 payment on the same job. I bet it's $12 payment. I have never seen it at $18.
It's $18. They always start out at $12 in my area, but toward the end of the round, those few that haven't been picked up get bonused. In my immediate area, the highest I've seen one before now is $17, but in the next county got up to $24 before it got taken. I'd have done that, but it's a 25-minute drive one way, and I had nothing else to pair it up with.

SOCALMAMA.....Tthe job I do is near me and reimbursement is 10.90, not enough for a drink, however, I get another email with jobs in No.CA and they pay up to 18.00...seems my location has more shoppers.

There is a MOD Pizza job in Laguna Niguel, CA 92677 that says BOTH $12 and $18 on the same assignment. Anyone want to go look at it and explain it to me?

M:aybe high rent area's pay more as they don't have enough shoppers.

There are plenty of shoppers. I just think that the job is $12, even though it says $12 on one spot and $18 on the other.

Hard to fill areas in OC are Corona Del Mar, Newport Coast, San Clemente and RSM. I don't think that you can find a house in Corona Del Mar for less than 3 million.

Regardless, I am only open for dinner three days in Feb now. I'm doubting that MOD Pizza is going to come out on top for me.
Different requirements.

Different locations not enough shoppers so raised the price, same instructions....when you have to get it done the price goes up.

I love Blaze. I've been to several locations (mostly out of state since they JUST came to my state). MOD isn't too bad...but quite similar to Blaze. I didn't realize they were shopped. I found them, and I scheduled a shop that is coming up soon! I don't like Your Pie. I graduated with the guy that started the company. lol It's ok...and only 2 miles down the road...but I've never been a fan. Pieology used to be near me. They were not good. Closed after just a few months.
Would say BJ's restaurant was the only easiest report I ever done. Love the Lucille's BBQ food and report. Only problem doing the BJ's now is because a new restaurant opened in the same shopping complex. Rock and Brews owned by KISS band members, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. Since their new restaurant opened, the parking spaces are now non-existent. Heard from coworkers that the wait time to be seated was about 30 minutes.
Black Bear Diner is one of the longest reports I've ever encountered. My favorite question on report-What do you think of the decor? After doing several reports, it's hard to come up with some new comments, say that the decor is whimsical, cute, outdoorsy, campy.
@Irene_L.A. wrote:

Speaking about the scheduling of BJ's, there was never rotation, I notice this year that has changed. I was just refused saying I'm on rotation....and we also have many shoppers, more each day. I used to be the one that got everything, this month was the first time I was refused, last month i got the two I requested, no more....
It's called the Fatwallet Effect. A good deal gets shared on the forums, people flock to it, and then the people who did it initially get locked out. BJ's is still worth it. Waiting to hear about one that I'll be sitting in Friday rush hour traffic to get to -- still worth it.

Yep, I like them, signed for a dinner shop... we'll see...they had so many for March, I feel good about getting it.
Maybe it's become first come first serve. Mie is 3 miles from home, Friday rush hour...aarugh.

A BJ's opened across the street from me in the mall. It's not shopped yet.

O'Charleys reports are not bad, you do have to include several pictures. As mentioned by others, reimbiursement is in the form of a digital gift card. Texas Roadhouse reports are straightforward and not difficult. If you take someone with you, you will likely go over the max reimbursement, but if you like their food (I do), it's a cheap meal. They have a 3 month rotation.
Just self-assigned a to-go lunch for Applebee's 1st. one....have to drive but wil be in area anyway...how's report.

Irene, the report is similar to a 5 Guys report. There are more sections. You describe the staff, the interactions, the wait time, and the taste and presentation of the food.
