Sentry - shop input computer/laptop onely

I just did a shop for Sentry and in the guidelines it states that you can input on a desktop or laptop not a mobile device. I was wondering two things.

1. How do they know we are using a mobile device?
2. Why would they want desktop or laptop only?

Does anyone know the answers?

Some Websites can detect in general what kind of device you are using (desktop, laptop, mobile). Programs/platforms are written to a specific platform (desktop, tablet, cell) and may work on desktop but may not work on cell, etc.
